Pros:

Once the food arrived after the waiter forgot to send my order to the kitchen, it was faultless, absolutely delicious!

Cons:

The room was far too noisy . . . Located underneath the restaurant and with the main door out to the roadside, made it difficult for an early night.

Charming pub with high end food in beautiful quiet village well positioned for walking from the door on South Downs Way
Pros:

Very quiet location in village which was good for a peaceful night’s sleep. Excellent food at dinner and good choice of healthy food for breakfast.

Beautiful Inn, fantastic food, we will return.
Pros:

A beautiful Inn in the most beautiful village. We booked 9 rooms as we were part of a wedding party which was at a venue nearby. The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the booking process and responded so swiftly to queries I had. The rooms are beautiful and so comfortable and the food was outstanding. We have all decided to come back and stay again as we moved it so much.

Cracking pub, excellent food and location, great service - highly recommend
Pros:

Amazing pub - beautiful food, pretty setting and staff incredibly friendly. The room and bathroom were very clean and well presented. Loved the cookie and fruit in our room on arrival. The food was delicious. A very good night’s sleep.

Nice but uncomfortable
Pros:

Very clean and well decorated

Cons:

Room rate was extremely expensive for what we got. No ventilation in the room and extremely hot and uncomfortable to sleep. Had to prop the door open to get a breeze. Food was expensive.

Wonderful old inn, sympathetically modernised, in a beautifully unspoiled part of West Sussex
Pros:

The Black Horse is in one of the most beautiful and unspoiled corners of West Sussex, tucked between the South Downs and the Wild Brooks. The building is an old inn, or pub, sympathetically modernised. The beer garden is truly lovely, and the dining room has been tastefully updated. The food is great, both breakfast and dinner, the wine choice excellent, and the service very good indeed.

Cons:

The room we stayed in, room 1, was comfortable but lacked a wardrobe. Clothes hangers were supplied, to be hung on hooks on the wall, which worked well enough, but the lack of storage space would be an inconvenience for a stay of more than a couple of nights.
