The hotel is modern but also has a comfortable, homely feeling. It smells beautiful when you walk in. There are a couple of arcade games available to play, one arcade game being free to use. There is a chess set, Photo Booth, board games all available. There are snacks and drinks available to purchase around the clock. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I feel safe in this hotel, you cannot use the lift up to rooms without a keycard and the reception desk is manned 24/7. The rooms and bed sheets are spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom- there was not so much as a streak in sight. There are complimentary toiletries to use that, again, smell really nice. A hairdryer was in the room and there are ironing facilities available. There’s a nice, relaxed atmosphere in this hotel. Being a 5 minute walk into the city centre, this is my favourite place to stay in York.
The prices of snacks and drinks could be a little more fair. There is nothing that would stop me staying here again.
Despite only being a 3 star, our room was very clean and comfortable. The reception area is fab with loads of games and a pool table. Good selection for breakfast and the pizzas were delicious! Great having access to an ironing room too.
Was a slight smell from bathroom sink when running hot water and on first night the neighbours (unsure which) were loudly banging past midnight. Could do with some hanging space/drawers, however these issues were minor compared to the good things. Would 100% recommend and stay here again.

We were on the second floor & if I’m really picky we got some noise from people walking past late at night to get to wherever they were going !
