Nice beds, clean room, great breakfast, staff very friendly
Elevator was out of service all weekend. My father has hip issues and we were on the fourth floor. Cable service was horrible. Internet was very slow.
I liked that it was clean and a great location from the speedway.
The elevator was not working and the pool was closed. I was very disappointed.
In general I should have avoided all hotels near an airport but decided to stay here out of convenience. Upon checking in, I was informed that all of the elevators were out of service but I could have a room on the top floor if I was ok walking up. Walking the stairs is fine but not sure how a business can have all their elevators out of service for longer than a day and still meet safety codes. Doors to the stairwells were propped wide open on all floors. In the event of a fire no one would be able to escape if the stairs were filled with smoke. Rooms were typical of other Holiday Inns. You can hear some noise from the other rooms and from the nearby highway. Breakfast was pretty typical as well. The area around the hotel is extremely sketchy aside from the Sam’s Club next door but that has been typical of Indianapolis in my experience overall.
The staff was VERY nice, but the hotel itself was disappointing
The elevators are broken- when checking in, they said down for maintenance but do not tell you that it’s going to be down your whole stay and for a long duration. We were on the 4th floor with two small children.. that’s a lot of stairs . My daughter also has an autoimmune disease, so physically this was hard for her.
Also, the pool area was disgusting. NO towels, the hot tub wasn’t hot - same temp as poolhh. There was atleast 5 dead bugs floating around the pool. The ceiling is covered in green mildew and peeling paint all over. The pool area is awful. It was also supposed to be open by 9 am - we had to find an employee to unlock it for us.
Our TV did not connect to any stations except food network. ONE TV station.
Our room was suppose to have a spa tub - did not. Only shower.
The pull out sofa bed was awful. It bends in half and folds up when you lay down, there is no padding. Feels as if it’s 35 years old. Slept on couch folded up normal instead, because it was so awful.
We had a wonderful experience being in this hotel. Their shuttle service from airport to hotel and hotel to airport is very helpful. Laura- the receptionist was also very wonderful . She took very nice care of us. We reached late in the night and immediately she checked us in as she knew we were tired. She gave us water and made sure we are well taken care as I went there with my mom who had knee surgery done. Laura proved that you only need few kind words to customers to make them feel comfortable. Thanks Laura
A hotel with an elevator under maintenance some days is already beyond comment, but there is a highlight for the receptionist who was polite and kind, mitigating the initial bad impression.
Upon arrival we were notified that both elevators were undergoing service and that the pool was also closed, we were asked if we’d like to continue our with our reservation, which was fine because most of the city was sold out at this point due to a race happening. We booked an accessible room due to some health things in hopes it was on the first floor, lo and behold, our room was on the 4th floor! We had to walk up and down with a 3 year old, our luggage and a recent health development. I was not pleased, then our room was the room RIGHT NEXT to the stairs, so we heard people lugging their suitcases up and down until about 11pm at night and had a 6am wake up call. It definitely wasn’t our best stay for a holiday inn experience.
This was one of the worst Holiday Inn that we have ever stayed at. We were in town for FDIC and booked this hotel for its location and amenities. No where on the website did it mention the elevator didn’t work, the pool was closed. We were told by the front desk clerk that the pool was closed but wasn’t really and if our child wanted to swim all he had to do was let them know. We bought him trunks only to be told by another front desk clerk that absolutely he could not swim the pool was closed. Our room had very little water pressure, and the entire week our bedding was not changed. Housekeeping only made the beds. Our in room coffee pods were never replaced so we bought our own. The coffee in the front lobby was luke warm, and we had the exact same breakfast all week. We was told that there were no outside sitting areas so basically we had to chill in our room or travel to a local park if we wanted to enjoy the evening and let our kid play. Definitely will NOT be back at this hotel.
No pool, no tub in the room. It said it had.
Clean, friendly staff, breakfast
Elevator was out but only because of remodeling.
Location to highway.
The internet didn’t work. The coffee machine in the room is was broken and the elevator was broken and I had to climb the stairs to my room on the 3rd floor, which wasn’t good for my husband who has a bad heart.
Laura that works the night shift was pleasant and friendly . She was a great help . I loved her spirit. Give her a raise.
Location was Perry
The elevators were down and we were on the fourth floor. I lost think
I was overcharged. I am waiting on the copy of the bill.
The price was a little cheaper
The pool was closed and the elevators were out and the staff didn't see if it was a room closed enough and just put me on the 4th floor. Walking up all them stairs with 4 bags was a heart attack waiting to happen.
High way noise hotel is next to highway
Parking was no parking left at hotel I had to park 3 parking lots over next to the other hotel that is shared parking .
Clean rooms
Needs some updating but good value.
Breakfast was really good.
Ice on one floor.
