Pros:

Das Hotel bietet sehr gepflegte, saubere und grosse Zimmer mit wunderschönen grossen Bädern. Die Lage ist ruhig, die Stadt sowie Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich – unter anderem mit einem japanischen Frühstück. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at MOGANA and could not recommend it highly enough.

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Every member of staff was polite, professional and genuinely eager to help. Nothing was ever an issue, and they consistently went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. As English speaking travellers, we especially appreciated how well the staff communicated, which made everything easy and stress free.

The hotel itself was immaculate. Every area was spotless and beautifully maintained, with excellent facilities that made our stay comfortable and relaxing. The housekeeping team deserves special recognition because they were truly second to none. Our room was cleaned to an exceptional standard every day and always felt fresh and perfectly presented.

MOGANA exceeded all of our expectations. The service, cleanliness, facilities and attention to detail were outstanding. We would not hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable.

Everything!
The whole experience was second to none and they even went out of their way to provide a very late breakfast unprompted after an early sightseeing session.

Cons:

Nothing, they thought of everything. All hotels will now be measured against the Morgana !

Pros:

Design of hotel, very relaxing and zen like as intended. Friendly staff, good location within two metro stations in less than 10 minutes walk.

Cons:

Nothing, except a buffet breakfast in a designated area of the hotel would be nice.

The breakfast was excellent - both Japanese and Western. Really huge portions though. Does everyone eat this much for breakfast?

Longer hours open for the bar - earlier - perhaps even 5pm as we were never able to get there
