Comfort, convenience, cleanliness, and location.
No bottled water in room. Pet peave if you don't like drinking from the bathroom tap.
Location and staff fabulous. Great for the price
Our room was clean but not spotless
Hotel was clean. Good location, next to Melbourne central.
Nothing
Nothing
Hotel is very old and date. Room was exceptionally small looked like it hadn't changed since the 60's (Except the bathroom..90's). No mini bar, no bottled water. Watered down shampoos and washes, noisy aircon with dirty vents, bed on rollers that moved around and away from the wall. Light domes dirty and looked to have bugs in them. Air was stale, room had an old odor, bed poorly made with ill fitting sheets, dirty carpet. chipped walls. Overall, was more like a $50 a night fleabag hotel. Breakfast was poor, feed had no taste, bacon over cooked, scrambled eggs that tasted reconstituted. One lift not working.
Location and value for money - only reason I stay there. And it's for business purposes.
Fix your lifts - It's a nightmare as not only does it take time, every time I have stayed there only one is working
The bed was ok and the pillows was too flat to sleep on
The room picture is not exactly what I seen on the booking.com i asked for a room to face the city skyline as it is pictured but instead I got a room facing the wall of the building next to the hotel.
I spoke to Carlos the manager and baught a birthday package for my wife... which was 195$ I asked for flowers and I told him specifically it was my wife's birthday.. when I got to the room .. there were pink flowers instead of red 🌹roses that I expected ..it was a big dissopointment... secondly .. I asked for a bottle of white wine mascarto and I got a 6.99$ bottle of white wine at least a reasonable amount of Brown Brothers mascarto which is 20 $ could have been put in the room and as i specified to him it was an occasion..if it wasn't for the birthday I would have left it ...... lastly ..about the parking I paid 114$ for parking at the willson parking and the lady at the reception did not tell me that I had to exchange the parking ticket for the bar code.. and when asked if there can be a refund of the parking she bluntly told me no I cannot do that. And told me I should have given the parking ticket to her in the first place... there was lack of proper communication from her..
The room was dull .. the bathroom had water logged in cos the shower glass wasn't able to close properly and for two days water was standing in there the room was not done up at all.. I was aware of the linen being changed on the 3rd fair enough. But why was the room nit made up not tiered the cake and plates was still there till we left the hotel Housekeeping was nit at all done ... was very dissopointed over all with the hotel.... and more dissopointed cos I paid good money for it and got nothing back i terms of the hotel or the service nor with the value of birthday package that I got.
Great location and comfortable room
Rooms are very small and noise/light from the hallway could be quite disruptive
Location
Room was very small, there wasn’t a lounge chair , there was black mould in the bathroom grout
The location for this hotel is superb! Right in the thick of things, lots of places are walkable, tonnes of eating and drinking options. The staff were lovely, the room was comfy and for the price, excellent. I really liked it here and will return next time I'm in Melbourne. Convenient and affordable, what's not to love.
