Hotel Floris Arlequin Grand-Place

When we arrived during the heatwave we were informed upon arrival that there was no air conditioning due to building works. although I understand they were undergoing refurbishment we were not informed of this prior to arrival. We were told we could book somewhere else, but as it was late in the evening this was not a option. We should of been informed before we arrived there was a refurbishment underway. In my room only 1 of the lights worked and so I was unable to work into the evening as I couldn't see what I was doing.

The hotel was a building site, so presumably this will change at some point. The noise started early in the morning. Someone wandered into my room without warning. The lift got stuck, briefly, thank goodness. But not something I would repeat.

They had contractors hammering and drilling at 7am!!! As international travelers that just arrived that was dreadful. We dragged our exhausted asses out of there by 9.30am when we couldn't handle any more to find somewhere else to rest. Honestly, I would like a refund. We were totally ruined for the limited time we had in Belgium.

Facilities weren't great. Plug socket loose on wall. Hotel is undergoing renovations. Expect banging between 8-5. You can hear the room above and next door clearly. Room is very dated. Considering you can pay half the price for another hotel with much better facilities. Poor show really!

Just davant hi ha una sala de festes a les 5 del mati encara hi havia xivarri…estavem al primer pis les finestres aillaven poc del soroll.

The main downside was the noise coming from the bars on the street, which continued throughout the night and even in the very early morning. The windows are not soundproof, so it was quite difficult to sleep in the room we initially had.

We actually had to ask to change rooms after the first night. Luckily, we were given a room on a higher floor, and the difference was huge — it was much quieter and made our stay much more comfortable.

As we noticed that other guests had mentioned the same issue in their reviews, perhaps the hotel could consider improving the soundproofing or addressing the noise issue with the nearby bars.

Molt soroll del carrer, ja que està al centre d'oci de Brussel·les, i hi havia obres a l'edifici (ascensor), armari sense portes...

Les travaux à 6/7h du matin, les gens qui hurle dehors on entend tout car mauvaise isolation phonique ainsi que thermique, pas d’équipement, photo non contractuelle, personnel désagréable, plus jamais je ne reviendrai dans cette hôtel.

I cannot rate this hotel as they moved my booking to another hotel in Brussels due to last minute renovations.

L’hygiène générale et l’entretien de la chambre qui n’était pas très propre. Des traces de gras sur la tête de lit, sur le mobilier. Des fenêtres difficiles à ouvrir, des rideaux et appliques murales abîmés. La salle de bain pas très « clean ». Il serait intéressant de remplir les réservoir à savon liquide pour les mains et le corps et de vérifier la solidité des installations sanitaires surtout dans la douche, voir des les remplacer. Le pommeau de douche était en fin de vie. Les finitions de décorations et de peinture n’étaient pas soignés du tout et assez vétustes tout comme la moquette vraiment très sale. Dommage. Je précise que l’hôtel est en transformation et en travaux ce qui doit probablement rendre le travail du personnel d’entretien plus compliqué et que malgré ces quelques petits désagréments il vaut vraiment la peine d’y séjourner. L’hôtel est dans l’hyper centre festif de Bxl donc pour un public averti des possibles nuisances sonores.

Hotellissa on menossa remontti, josta ei kerrottu mitään ennen majoittumista. Meille kerrottiin, että saamme paremman huoneen, mutta ensimmäisenä yönä kävi ilmi, että huone sijaitsi ravintola/baarikadun yläpuolella eikä ikkunoissa ollut minkäänlaista äänieristystä eli kuuntelimme baarimusiikkia sekä ihmisten huutoja läpi yön klo 8 asti. Emme pystyneet nukkumaan huoneessa edes korvatulpilla. Valitimme asiasta ja saimme huonomman huoneen, jonka piti olla hiljainen, mutta hotellin remontti alkoi jo ennen klo 7:30 vaikka hotellin respa ilmoitti remontin alkavan klo 9. Hotellin kuvat eivät vastaa nykytilannetta vaan hotelli ja varsinkin yleiset tilat olivat todella ränsistyneet ja tunkkaisen hajuiset.

Hotellet var under oppussing, så adkomst via trapper var veldig provisorisk. Det var en knøtt liten heis, men vi valgte likevel de provisoriske trappene. Rommet var stort, pent og ordentlig på alle måter uten om det litt lite delikate vegg-til-vegg-teppet på gulvet. Dusjveggen foran badekaret var skjev i hengsler så veldig vanskelig å bevege opp og igjen.
