Pros:

I loved our stay at the Raj room! It was super clean and I adored the interior design of the room and bathroom. I loved having a soak in the rolled top bath tub and enjoyed a movie on the massive bed afterwards. We travelled with our 3 month baby and I think she loved it too as she even gave us a little bit of a lie in 🥰. The breakfast was fun too, it was nice to go to the cafe downstairs and choose pastries and barista coffee. I went for a delicious granola. There was also a chance to grab some locally sourced goods to bring back as souvenirs for family. We stayed there as we wanted to visit Wells Next The Sea which was just over a half hour drive!

Cons:

If I had to pick something it would be lack of parking but we parked at the Station Street free car park and there was a very quick cut through to it when you leave the hotel

Beautiful room, lovely & clean. Unfortunately it was incredibly noisy, the main door was being slammed a lot, a lot
Pros:

The room & bathroom were spotlessly clean.
The staff at ‘the bread source’ and the food were lovely.

Cons:

It was incredibly noisy.

Lovely stay
Pros:

Lovely decor, clean tidy all you need.
Easy check in
Although you do it all yourself, and see no staff at all it was very efficient.
Lovely pastries from Bread Source.

If staying longer would have booked in for a therapy treatment .

Cons:

Shame we didn't realise that the pizza restaurant isn't open until Thursdays, but had good food across the road

Dissapointing
Pros:

Comfortable bed and nice bathroom.

Cons:

After staying here in 2017 when it was a very special hotel with vintage items, shop and record player in room. This hotel appears to have changed hands. No staff, self check in. Everything closed down 5pm. I went down for a drink outside at 6pm before my booking at the kings head. No staff, no bar!
Breakfast was also disappointing. Choices from bakery, very odd indeed. Also very dry......nice coffee though 🤨
The decor was tge same but very tired......overall overpriced soulless experience.

Superb place for a few nights in luxurious surroundings
Pros:

Good location; very individualised room decor; excellent shower; great breakfast at the bakery. Small number of rooms; freedom to come and go

Cons:

Step into bathroom takes getting used to ; in very warm weather night times were a trade off between extra light for necessary ventilation. Bed is only a double

Nice room
Pros:

Room was beautifully decorated. Staff friendly.

Cons:

Nothing really but I guess it’s quite a lot of money for a room and nothing much else. Breakfast was okay but selection very limited.

Gorgeous!
Pros:

The Dial House was a great find!
What a hidden gem!
As an interior designer, I completely loved the attention to detail in the property!
I was away on business and the room allowed me to relax in luxurious surroundings, take a wonderful bath and enjoy the gorgeous secluded terrace my “History” room provided!
I could not fault the Dial House.
My “not so secret”bolt hole for when I work away in Norfolk!
I had a few questions and the host answered me so promptly!
The onsite bakery is a bonus!
I bought cakes for my customers who I was visiting - they will greatly appreciated!
I’ll be returning soon!

Cons:

Nothing!

Pros:

The Dial House is a bit different, there is no specific reception desk and there are no members of staff when you arrive at the hotel. A code is sent by email which provides details of how to enter the hotel and room and a WhatsApp number is given in the event of any issues. This was no problem to us but I could understand that this might not suit everyone, especially if there were any issues (fortunately, none for us).

The room and en suite bathroom was very comfortable. It had all everything you would ordinarily expect to find, including some fresh milk in the fridge, which was a nice touch.

As well as no staff in reception, The Dial House does not have its own restaurant. We went to the busy and clearly very popular pizzeria, which is on the ground floor. Unfortunately as we had not booked we had to sit in the cafe section, which had a very small table. We shared a pizza, a chicken ceaser salad and some garlic breach, which was extremely good, in fact the freshly baked garlic bread was the best I’d ever had. I seem to recall that the pizzeria is only open on a Thursday through to a Sunday, so outside of these times you would need to find somewhere else to eat, that said, there’s a great pub across the Market Place called the Kings Arms, this serves decent food.

Breakfast is a bit different at The Dial House, guests are invited to visit the on-site bakery where you are able to choose from freshly baked sweet and savoury treats and from a selection of different pastries, a drink and some fruit is also included.

I would highly recommend The Dial House, although the lack of human interaction at check in/out plus no traditional breakfast offerings might put some people off.

Pros:

The decor of the room. The location. The ambience and the high standard of finish of the rooms and the public spaces. It was a beautiful place to just sit and relax. The sort of place you would want to keep returning.

Cons:

One critiscm was breakfast on the first day where Bread Source had run out of most things when we turned up one hour after opening. Perhaps worth considering having a way to order the night before?

Terrible nights sleep
Pros:

Staff from cleaner to servers at bread source and pizza restaurant whose thoughtful touches such as a birthday card made me consider coming back as felt so welcome. Lady on phone helping me out when I forgot my room code thank you! Honestly all staff 10 out of 10.

Cons:

Uncomfortably soft bed in the Raj room was horrible to sleep in and very hot room in the morning, this combined with early check out made me feel like it wasnt a comfortable nights stay. The previous china room was much better and would advise that if booking. I

was disappointed with this room and wont be booking again.
