Hotel Mockingbird, Dallas, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

Very good hotel , good food , good location , affordable

Second time I’ve stayed at this hotel. First time was the Beeman and check in process was horrible. This time as the mockingbird it was much more pleasant but both times no upgrades despite the hotel not being sold out. It’s not difficult to upgrade a titanium guest to a better room as it costs no additional money. Titanium members are one of your most loyal they should be treated for their loyalty.
The bar and dining area space is a big Improvement over the Beeman

The room was tastefully furnished with plenty of room for my husband and I to move around. The staff was friendly and personable. The bar was also well staffed and the bartender was friendly and efficient. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Great service. Atmosphere and restaurant

A huge thank you to Hughes, the valet at Hotel Mockingbird in Dallas! He provided exceptional customer service from the moment I arrived. He was friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. What really stood out was that he remembered my name, which made the experience feel personal and welcoming. Hughes consistently went above and beyond with a positive attitude and genuine kindness. He is a true asset to the hotel, and I hope he gets the recognition he deserves. Thank you, Hughes, for making my stay such a great experience!

Not our first stay at HM, but first since the full transition from Hotel Beeman. Bar is better, and worse. more seating, better quality seating, fewer TV options which was key for a World Cup weekend. STILL no EV charging available. For a hotel like this, luxury class, this is a big missing piece. Otherwise, staff was great as usual, and the hotel looked quite busy nonetheless. best property in the Marriott family near SMU so we will be back!

The good: We enjoyed the overnight at the Hotel Mockingbird. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bar/restaurant was good ( we had late night drinks and breakfast the next morning which is served till 11AM) The room had great AC and the bed was very good, as were the TV selections. The bath was rather small, but completely functional with a good hot shower and some of the best bath towels I've ever experienced. A plus is its closeness to Mockingbird Station Dart Station and entertainment venues. I would recommend the Mockingbird to friends. We stayed at the Adolphus three days ago on another overnight and the Mockingbird compares favorably with it.
The needs improvement: Hotels across the board use cheap one ply toilet paper, but with today's room rates surely they could get a better paper. Also, I'm not a fan of valet parking only hotels as is this one (Adolphus also). With a 40 dollar a night valet fee, we parked a 4 minute walk away at Mockingbird Station's free covered parking garage. Not a problem for us, but it could be for some. It reminds me of the novel"Hotel" where they were required to provide one free toilet, so it's management hire a drunk to occupy it all day. The patrons had to pay to use the facilities.

It was our 27th anniversary and we had a wonderful experience. Ty(manager) and his team (Rebecca, Charity, & Courtney) were simply amazing. They made our trip so relaxing and special. From the time we arrived we were treated with such excellence, right down to my need for a cup of coffee and the young man from the restaurant made it for me and brought it to my room with no hesitation. The valet team were impeccable and so chivalrous. I called my adult daughters and said we will be booking for our next girls trip! I loved the hotel it offered such an adult couple ambiance which is great when you’re just wanting to relax and release. Thank you Ty and your wonderful team we will remember this experience forever.

We love staying at the upscale Mockingbird. It’s a fabulous location, so close to all the great shopping areas and restaurants. The in hotel restaurant has great food, too! The rooms are very nicely furnished. We will definitely be back.

Wow what a fabulous hotel, the staff there couldn’t do enough to make our stay extra special I just want to mention a for their outstanding hospitality & customer service. Front desk staff Courtney, Charity, Ty, Jacory not to forget the fabulous Brethin in the speak easy bar. If you stay here please go to the speak easy it’s the most beautiful place so romantic and perfect for us celebrating our anniversary. The whole hotel is spotless clean, we will be returning here. Only one thing that disappointed us which was just one of those things was the pool had to be closed for maintenance. But hopefully when we return we will get to experience that next . Room was excellent, the experience was fantastic, and the location was perfect! Loved this place!
