Beautiful period building, very classy & tastefully decorated. Extremely comfortable bed, sheets pillows all gorgeous. Very clean and well maintained. Also sweets in the jar were a lovely touch.
One of the lifts was out of action which meant we had to wait quite a while

We like the location. It’s extremely comfortable. You can walk straight into Victoria Station from the hotel. Also major landmarks are a walk away. I would recommend walking and taking Hop On Hop Off Bus whenever you can. Some staff been there years. Otw many new staff members. Now, breakfast staff extremely attentive. We love them. Also reception and the valet. All superlative.
At The Soak some of the staff could be more attentive. They were hit and miss. Also drinks seem watered down depending on day. One day great next day, meh. And FIX the second elevator!!!! Has it been broken for two years?

1. When I booked the room, I asked them whether the air conditioning was working, and they informed me that there was no issue with it. However, upon my arrival, I found the room stuffy, and when I asked them to turn on the air conditioning, they told me that there was a problem with it.
2. My room was on the 6th floor. To reach it, I had to take the elevator up to the 4th floor and then use another elevator to get to my room, which was inconvenient and annoying.
Very historical. Great location. Very welcoming
Our room was located on a different wing The lift only went to the 4th floor then we had to walk to other side to catch another lift or walk up stairs. Servicing of your room was the biggest issue as they did that around 4-6pm just when you are either relaxing after a day out or getting ready to go out to dinner.
