loud people next door and in hallway, and I was very unimpressed with the unprofessionalism in the man who checked us in at the front desk. You need to talk to your employees about how to be professional and welcoming with guests.

No ironing board in the room. I know not a huge deal, but I needed to iron a few things and I had to put towel on floor and iron, not fun! AC unit extremely loud once it hit set temp.
Old tired hotel. Very out of date. Almost no recognition of status or Guest of Honor benefits. Breakfast was a joke, worse then a Hyatt Place.
Everything was great, clean, comfortable and location was good specially if you are visiting the kids museum. Only a few minutes walk .
Everything was amazing no one bothered me or interrupted my sleep no loud noises everything was clean only thing I would complain about was the squeaking noise in lobby coming from the escalator needs to be fixed asap but other wise everything was great had parking and a great stay. I will definitely stay here again pool was clean and all to myself other guest were nice

Definitely needs cleaning and renovations! Bathroom wallpaper falling off walls and room smelled musty. Basically, just needs updating and is not up to the standards of other Hyatt hotels.

Hyatt Regency Rochester is one block from the Genesee River. It is a great location for the Blue Cross Arena and ESL Ballpark. The area was safe and very walkable. The room was bright and clean. The picture windows gave great views of the city. The only drawback was the cleaning cart left garbage in the hallway outside every room.
Staff is good, check-in and check-out are smooth, and the room is clean. However, the nosiness outside at night is a bit much.
Busy area, room nothing special, alot of loitering in area, website said free parking but its not. No housekeeping, had to ask for more coffee, said coffee in lobby but only saw coffee shop
We were surprised by our stay. We normally don't worry about staying at a Hyatt. Hyatt should be ashamed to have their name on this hotel. They advertise and show pictures of an outside patio and bar. This was all closed and locked on a beautiful busy Saturday afternoon, it seemed obvious that it wasn't actually ever open. Plus the area was locked so you could not access it at all even just to sit outside. Same with the outside area adjacent to the pool - locked! no outside area at this hotel to enjoy. The restaurant they advertise also was not actually in business. Most of the rooms are adjoining - which is noisy - we had to move our room because of the noise in the adjoining room. It also isn't very nice or very clean. It is a dump.

Expect the bathroom needed to be cleaned better. One of the beds needed to be made better, the sheet of the mattress didn’t cover the whole mattress.
While the rooms were clean, the ever from our room was of a brick wall next door, digital key and check in were not helpful with the digital key not working at all. The parking situation was not great, with abandoned cars taking prime location right near the Hyatt entrance (on the clearly labeled floor for Hyatt hotel visitors) we were not the only people to notice this. The state of the pool was not great and looked like it was in dire need of cleaning (during the summer no less). I would hesitate to recommend this location to anyone and would pay more to stay at any other hotel in the area just to avoid this one.
