Tidy, clean 👌
Nice city break. Grand breakfast 😋
Smallish room. But ok for a dirty weekend away 🙃
Good location for city centre. Very nice breakfast.
Room was a bit warm
Room do dated no air con
No spare fans
The lady on reception was obviously not in the zone
Actually indifferent when we checked in unlike the lady on the phone earlier
Good location for what was needed, suited the purpose of the trip, great staff
Room was lovely, when we got it !!! ,Hotel's location is good. We have stayed here before, Breakfast was good and parking in Sainsbury's next door was easy.
When we arrived 1.30pm on a Saturday knowing we were half an hour early, we were told the room would be ready in half an hour. We went to the bar and purchased a drink, and came back just after 2pm, we were then told the room was still not ready. It was a nice sunny day, we commented that we were wasting a lovely day hanging around, then we were offered an alternative room, which was nice to be fair.
But on the Sunday morning we had a knock on the door approx 9.30 asking what time we were checking out ?
We weren't even dressed and ready to go for breakfast at this time and felt we were being hurried along. I think normal check out time is 12 O'Clock
Thought this was a little cheeky as the room wasn't even ready by 2pm on the day of check in, which it should be.
In summary we would stay again, as we like the location and generally the staff are pleasant.
Nice hotel in the city centre!
We have stayed at this hotel several times now and will continue to do so. Everything is just so........
I need more time.... i'm not sure i can think of anything.
Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.
Terrible location right on a busy roundabout. The windows only opened 2cm and there was no aircon so in the 30 degree heat we were having it was unbearably hot. The rooms were old and tired. We arrived late as our train had been delayed and weren't able to get any cooked food as the restaurant closed at 9.15pm, but we weren't told this at check in. I had a very tired and hungry 9 hear old so this wasnt great.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Extremely good value for an inner city location. The plants in and around the hotel were beautiful and added greatly to the environment. Beds and bedlinen comfortable.
The bathroom was a little dated and would benefit from a refit. One hand towel was worn thin and had a hole but maybe that's a bit picky it didn't spoil our stay.
I’d like to thank Harriet for her excellent customer service. She was always smiling, even when we were talking her ears off at 1:30am.
I’d also like to thank the lady at breakfast who has been with the company for many years of service, always making sure that my friends and I were looked after each morning.
For what it’s worth, I can’t repay the kindness they showed us, but I will definitely remember them both. If the managers of these two staff members read this review, I hope they receive recognition for the outstanding service they provide.
Thank you 😇
Very convenient location to coach station and city centre. Room very comfortable and quiet at night.
Great choice of hot and cold food for breakfast.
We had the bar food one night and happy with the choices.
All staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Would definitely recommend.
Nothing
Lots of choice for breakfast very busy but staff working very hard
Located a walk away from the centre but a quiet spot. We had underground parking but I think this is limited. Good size room and everything worked.
Nothing really.
Breakfast was average, evening meal was good!
Bathroom could do with a refresh
The coffee is awful! Breakfast was okay.
The beds are very hard!
