Overall, it was okay. Will we be returning, very unlikely.
Pros:

I think it waa just okay, compared to other hotels I have been to.

Cons:

The breakfast did not have a lot of options, limited and not very interesting. Didn't think we will be offered packet juices compared to freshly squeezed I have had in other places.

There were no shower cap or even 1 bath robe in the bathroom.
The beds were not properly made, and given the fact it was our anniversary, which I have pre-innformed the reception desk at time of booking, a little detail to even say happy anniversary would have mattered and shown attention to information. Not that it matters but I have had better experiences. Remembered one of our experiences, it was a little note placed in our room when we arrived, wishing us a happy anniversary.
Again, not that it mattered but that little act will make us return to that same hotel anytime we are in that city.

It is attached to the mall which was very convenient, I had a group for a child’s birthday and the hotel was very large and offered space for them to have fun , large rooms and beautiful views , the staff at the front desk were amazing and so helpful with all my questions and needs ,

Pros:

The location is excellent walking distance uptown Saint John.
The view of King st from our room was fantastic. City lights and the sunsetting over the water was beautiful.

Cons:

Small thing but no garbage bag in the trash can.

Except for the alarm the stay would have been perfect.

I know it couldn’t be helped but there was an alarm that went off every 2 minutes telling us to stay in our room and the elevators were not in use. It lasted about 1.5 hrs. The problem was on the 3rd level. It made us very uncomfortable.

Disappointed.
Pros:

Location is superb.

Cons:

1st of all there wasn't any signage indicating that there is a covered garage area that you drive into to access the lobby. The street signage was also lacking to tell one where the entrance was for foot traffic. The hotel is tired, it really needs a refresh, especially the guest rooms. The king bed room was bare. There was a large 100 square foot area without any furnishings - could easily of accommodated another arm chair or loveseat so that there was somewhere to sit and visit with one's partner other than on the bed. In the restaurant a big fat mouse ran by our lounge seating - yuck!

Pros:

The staff are exceptional. This is my second stay, and I like the hotel.

Cons:

The guests. There were teams staying there, they were very disruptive, rude and basically treated the hotel like they owned it. Garbage left in the hallways to be picked up by staff. Loud obnoxious people, slamming doors and yelling talking at 3am. The front desk was very accommodating, offering to move me to another area of the hotel. The staff are amazing, I just wished they got the respect they deserve.
