I liked it, but I would probably choose a different spot in the future unless really into Japan town.
Pros:

Really neat idea- convenient for walking

Cons:

Perhaps because it was through booking we were put in an older tower. Our room was fine- except the shower. Before getting in I noticed there were quite a few curly black hairs on the floor of shower. Okay- grab flip flops- turn water on and there is a flood of black hairs that come out of the drain. Almost as if someone may have done some manscaping but the shower had not been cleaned after. It was absolutely disgusting.

Tolle Lage, leider viel Strassenlärm in der Nacht.
Pros:

Grosse Zimmer. Grosse Gym. Alles sehr sauber. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Great location and staff
Pros:

For us, the location of the hotel is wonderful, right in the middle of Japantown, a vibrant neighborhood not too far from downtown. There are two big parking garages and so many restaurants, not all Japanese. The hotel is stylish and the beds are very comfortable.

Cons:

Our room was cold and the HVAC could not keep up, but we were in an end room with glass on two sides. This is our third stay at this hotel and we keep selecting corner or top floor rooms with lots of windows/sliding doors. This is a mistake. They are cold.

Fun for a Japanophile
Pros:

- Excellent location in the centre of Japantown. Close to bus links to travel around the city.
- Parking in the mall under the hotel was $30 / day which felt reasonable. Valet parking out front was much more expensive.
- Friendly, welcoming staff with water available at reception.
- Fun hotel with Japanese touches to reflect the area.

Cons:

- The building is old but they’ve done everything they can to modernise and it looks fresh and clean.
- There was no microwave in the room, not a problem for us but felt unusual.
- It was expensive but for a good hotel in an excellent location in a major city it was reasonable.
