The hotel location is really beautiful on the bay across from Coronado. Great views. Our room and bed were very clean and comfortable.

I've stayed here several times and love the vibe of the Polynesian theme, which is generally why I select this property. The grounds here are beautiful, and the location is lovely. We always walk to the Bali Hai for dinner, and there are also several other restaurants within easy walking distance. We had breakfast at the Humphrey's restaurant one morning too, and it was very tasty and had a picturesque marina view.
The bedding was a little rough to the touch. I didn't love the top layer comforter/blanket that had a pattern/texture to it. It did not feel soft. Also, I requested a late check-out (noon), but it was denied. For having spent nearly $1800 on a 4-night stay, you would think a simple extra hour to pack up could be accommodated (it usually has been, for me here in the past). This really got under my skin, as it was the most basic of asks that could have easily been provided without issue. Also, I'm not sure what determines when parking is included (it's been included for me before), but this time, there was an added parking fee of $25 per night, which seemed steep.
