Pros:

Humphrey’s will be our go to hotel whenever we’re in San Diego.
Pros:

The property was gorgeous, filled with lush greenery.

Cons:

The tub shower didn’t drain well. Would have much preferred a walk in shower.

Pros:

My stay at Humphreys Half Moon Inn was an amazing experience overall. The location is beautiful, and the tropical atmosphere truly creates an oasis away from home. The grounds are well maintained, relaxing, and provide the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy your stay.

One of the things that stood out most was the wildlife and scenery throughout the property. There were beautiful ducks, quail, fish, and even parrots roaming the grounds, which made the experience feel even more unique and peaceful. The lush gardens, ponds, and tropical landscaping added to the resort-like atmosphere and made it feel like a true escape from everyday life.

The pool area was also a highlight of our trip. The pool features a bar and jacuzzi, creating the perfect place to relax and enjoy the day. My son loved it so much that he practically lived in the pool for our entire stay!

The only area that could use improvement was guest interaction from the staff. While everyone was professional, I did not feel much personal connection or engagement during my visit. The service felt more transactional than welcoming at times.

That being said, there was a large event taking place during my stay, and I understand that much of the staff's attention and energy may have been directed toward supporting that event. Because of that, I can appreciate the circumstances and do not believe my experience reflects the hotel's usual level of hospitality.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend Humphreys Half Moon Inn to anyone looking for a relaxing tropical getaway with beautiful scenery, waterfront views, wildlife, and family-friendly amenities. We made wonderful memories and would gladly stay again.

Hawaiian getaway in San Diego
Pros:

The property is well maintained, gorgeous Hawaiian grounds, the pool is calm and beautiful with a restaurant bar at pool, the lounges are comfortable .
This is a place to relax. Any wind is a non issue, the property is well insulated .

Great Location and Nature, Disappointing Service

The facilities offered by the resort were very good, and the property itself is surrounded by beautiful nature. The scenery is stunning, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the stay. The location is also excellent, providing easy access to nearby attractions while still offering a sense of privacy and tranquility. The overall setting is undoubtedly one of the strongest aspects of this property.

Cons:

However, the biggest disappointment was the service. The staff were generally indifferent and did not appear genuinely interested in assisting guests. When issues arose, they were not particularly solution-oriented and often seemed unwilling to take ownership or make an effort to resolve problems. While the resort has great potential thanks to its location, natural surroundings, and facilities, the quality of service falls short of what would be expected from a property of this standard.

I called to confirm my reservation the day prior to arrival, I was put on hold several times then told I did not have a reservation under my name, cell, or email. I provided my confirmation number and again told no such reservation. My husband called back and yes I do have a reservation!
Upon check in, the desk clerk was rude and refused to accommodate a request for a standard room near the venue as I am handicapped. We were given a room the furtherest away! She proceeded to tell me to drive to my room, which we attempted BUT security informed us the parking in that section was FULL and did not allow entry. Back to the lobby to explain the situation once again a second clerk began to help when Ms Rude returned and took over once again. In the end we were given a standard room with a ramp leading to our room in the desired location. The same building she claimed had no rooms available🙄 All the drama for nothing
