Beautiful location. Get a marina view. Walkable distance to many food options. Friendly staff.
Overall the property is BEAUTIFUL. Our room was really nice, the pool area is gorgeous and the entrance to the hotel is incredibly stunning at night - especially if you appreciate mid-century the Polynesian style and the tiki world,
The beds were just…ok. Considering how nice the rest of the property was and the room price, I kind of expected something a little more comfortable. Also charging $3 for a coffee in the lobby also seemed a bit petty, again considering the room price.
We enjoyed the breakfast, there were a lot of choices on the à la carte menu
The main restaurant was closed during our stay
We loved how close it was to Point Loma but also the property itself felt like being in Hawaii
it’s very pretty hotel. It is a little dated a little old. It could use some updating however very clean. Staff was lovely and we enjoyed our stay.
Resort-like experience. Everything you'd want: great staff, beautiful and clean amenities, wonderful landscaping, great rooms, excellent shared spaces. There is a pool with a bar and fire pit seating spaces in the middle of the property, landscaped like a tropical island. Just wonderful. They even have a pair of macaws that are outside most days. Located in Point Loma, you are pretty central to the city's best parts. It was quiet at night with peaceful surroundings and a city view from across the bay. For me, it's the best place to stay in SD.
Beautiful property with a great location. Perfect for kids.
Housekeeping did not restock coffee, but was able to get it from the front desk. It was a bit costly, but it is the middle of summer.
The location of the room was great. The front desk man was very kind.
Our AC was out. When we called the front desk the guy was very nice, but his manager was trying to gaslight us by saying it was due to our windows being open which they were not. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.
Many restaurants and coffee shops were walking distance. Water was close to take a nice walk.
The parking was a little hard to get in and out of. We have a big truck and the lot is small. It’s also hard when other cars do not park correctly.
The pool was great but not as much shade on pool deck
The bar/restaurant next to hotel had horrible service and food was just ok.
Everything
The grounds and pool
The pool bar closed early. Loud outside the window. Paying for parking.
This was our second stay here and this time we chose a junior suite. The rooms are a little tired but the staff are friendly and the tropical gardens well maintained. We only tried to use the pool once but it’s on the small side and was very crowded so we didn’t bother. Happy Hour in the bar disappointing with no atmosphere and little saving on the drink. For our wedding anniversary, had on meal in the restaurant, only us there. food good, service rather rushed.
Great place to stay unique and beautiful gardens
Not much to dislike here it's a great place to stay
