The elegant style of the property, all the staff were very courteous and friendly I would highly recommend to friends and would consider staying again as the location is walking distance to the Palace of Versailles and local area where there are restaurants and a coffee shop, we would recommend the Italian restaurant called Piccolo’s?

lOCATION
GOUGING TO EXCESS
We stayed from Monday to Friday. Our room was a very good size and the bed very comfortable. There was consistently hot water and the towels were a very good quality. The room was spotlessly clean and incredibly quiet. Breakfast was exceptionally good. The choice and variety of foods was absolutely excellent, The scrambled eggs deserve a special mention as they were delicious. The location for us was great as, unsurprisingly, our visit was to view the Palace of Versailles, the Petit Trianon and Le Grand Trianon. The hotel's location was great for our trip as we could walk to everywhere we planned to visit. Fortunately the weather was kind to us, no rain. All the staff we came into contact with, were both polite and very professional. We ate in Le Veranda restaurant and the food, wine and service was very good. We had driven from the UK, so, again, it was great there was valet parking, so the car was safe.
To be honest, we felt everything ran smoothly and couldn't see any glaring areas for improvement. I, personally, wasn't knocked out with the decor of our room, it was very brown and I hate brown. My husband thought I was ridiculous!!!

Bed sheets were damp and requested a replacement iron twice as it was leaking and nothing was done. Breakfast was included in my package Very overpriced breakfast if you decide to pay separately

Let's be real, you aren't going to stay at the Airelles if you are reading this and this is your next best bet. The Lumiers hotel is too close to the buses at the entrance of Versaille. This hotel's location is fantastic. Right on the public sections of the park and next to the beautiful horses.
As many people noted the original main hotel and the addition are like two different worlds. The addition looks like forgotten soviet architecture and it's honestly a bummer it was ever built. but the main hotel is beautiful and charming. The hotel does need some very serious maintenance and a redesign of the lobby and some of the furniture choices but if you give this hotel a chance it will grow on you.
Another thing to note the restaurants are extremely pricey in the hotel (because where else are you realistically going to walk to?) but they really are quite fantastic. Food quality is really quite good. Not so much breakfast but the order service spots.
There is a great bike rental service in the parking lot next to the hotel that I highly recommend.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. This is not the Waldorf Astoria experience I know or expected, especially from a luxury brand with such a strong reputation.
As a Black guest, I did not feel welcomed or respected. The reception staff were rude, dismissive, and made our arrival and stay uncomfortable. The level of service was nowhere near what I have experienced at other Waldorf Astoria properties.
I personally would not recommend this hotel to Black travelers based on my experience. When you are paying luxury-hotel prices, every guest should be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and respect, regardless of race.
Management seriously needs to address the attitude and conduct of the reception staff. A beautiful property and a famous name mean very little when guests are made to feel unwelcome.
