Clean rooms, very cosy
Breakfast seems no longer to be as on the pictures. Breakfast basket in room now.
Room a good size, well appointed and very clean. Nice outside space and bar area nice. Breakfast supplud as a basket with good choice and more than enough. Bed comfortable. Staff were pleasant and helpful
Parking very limited. Clientele were very young and pub side did not seem very busy so lacked atmosphere. Bar prices were inconsistent - cherged three different prices for the same round of drinks
I booked this accomodation for its location to a show we were attending. Ideal location for facilities in town, train station etc.
Room was spacious with great ammenties...coffee machine, fan ,fridge etc.
We booked as price included english breakfast, but on arrival was told kitchen had permenantly closed . Website still ecouraging us to book a table for pur evening meal.
Room had hamper with cereal ,cake and some fruit. Ok but not what we were expecting or had paid for.
Also the accommodation was un manned over night .We were given keys to enter the pub if we were back late but basically were left to it.
As 2 ladies travelling together we we werent very comfortable with this .Feel we should have been made aware of this and the no restaurant situatio .
L’endroit- centre ville
Le personnel est désintéressé et l’accueille très froid.
Le petit dejeuner est pre- fourni dans la chambre ( ceci est bien expliqué au moment du reservation)
Le premier jour le lait dans le mini frigo était tourné et un Orange moisie.
Location, room
Really loud and not just when England were playing on the second night
Our room was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bed was extremely comfy. The brewing station was well stocked & included biscuits. The room also included fans which were extremely welcome during the hot weather. The shower gel & handwash were also plentiful & smelled fabulous. It was also a refreshing change to have an iron & ironing board in the room. The location was excellent as it was in the town centre & the staff were friendly & helpful. The pub has recently changed hands & cooked food is no longer available. However, the breakfast hamper which is provided has a good selection of cereals inc porridge & comes with 2 small bottles of milk, 2 bottles of water, yoghurts and my particular favourite - 2 Freddo chocolate bars 😂Whilst this may not be to everyone’s taste, I think they have made a good effort to compensate for the kitchen closure.
Nothing
Good overnight stop to explore Ilkley Moor.
Room good for old pub establishment, excellent in room breakfast provided
Excellent location, very clean room and fantastic breakfast basket with enough provisions for a week!!!. Staff were very friendly and explained the check in/ out procedure very well. Excellent choice of beers and great beer garden. Highly recommended.
The only car park is outside the rear of the premises with only limited spaces. However the main council car park is 1 minute away but the price is £1.50 an hour but free between the hours of 1800 hrs and 0800 hrs.
Great location. Comfortable and clean room. Provided coffee making facilities and a great spread for breakfast to do in your room. Staff explained everything well and were friendly and approachable
The room was very hot. To be fair it was an exceptionally hot day and night and fans were provided
The location is excellent, close to shops and transport. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed.
We stayed there last year and decided to go back as it was excellent, this time it had had a change of management and the kitchen had been closed, so no cooked breakfast or any other food, the breakfast was a hamper in the room which wasn’t too bad but disappointing. The staff were good but the pub was empty of customers.
Central location, easy access to everything. Great nights sleep. Large family room in

Great location, in room self service breakfast was a great touch, staff were really helpful

Good size room and bathroom.
Staff friendly and helpful
Good range in breakfast hamper
No free parking
The room was warm when we got there, by the evening, it was very very hot. By 10:30pm, it was unbearable. The windows were painted in and could not be opened. The fans were ineffective. We left at just after 10:30pm. I contacted The Black Hat by email to explain that we had left and our reasons for doing so. I have heard nothing back from them.
When we were still in the room, we did think to contact the manager on the number on the key fob but we decided that it was late and if there had been an alternative room, they would surely have not put paying guests in this room. There should be guidelines to say that hotels can not rent out rooms above a certain temperature and without adequate air conditioning facilities
