Upon arrival no one gave me breakfast passes I had to go back the next morning to tell them it was included with my stay. Breakfast not worth it anyway. Didn’t tell me about amenities or when things close that’s on the property. I had to request more towels the next morning & they gave me a hard time about that. There wasn’t any towels stocked at the towel station at the pool I had to come in wet to let them know. Overall poor service.
I took a shuttle from the airport to this Double Tree hotel. Turned out to be the wrong location that I took. 🫣 I didn’t have any encounters with this doubletree location but let me tell you. Mr. D. Greenidae was noting more than AMAZING! His customer service was excellent! His smile was so contagious. The way he was talking and guiding his customers had me at awwwwwww. He asked for reviews and so I couldn’t resist. I said, I am not even staying here but I will give my review. So here it is. I’m also planning a family reunion next year and out of All of the hotels in the area. This one right here has won my daughter and I over. Looking forward to doing business with this location right here. Now I can’t leave out their shuttle driver. He went above and beyond as well. Thank you for your great customer service and care.
average, not friendly, didn’t take cash, had to pay for parking, not dirty but not standard clean. I would not come back.
Our flight was delayed and they put us as a “no show” and made us call our travel agent to receive the payment card on file. Once my travel agent called them and provided a number for them to call and get CC information, the front desk staff (I think Dave was his name) started complaining about having to do the travel agents job. He then told us “call us next if you’re running late” yeah…let me figure out away to call you from 35,000 ft for a room we already booked and paid for. We didn’t receive a email or courtesy call asking for check in times.
2. None of the rooms have a safe! If I knew this before I booked, I wouldn’t have even booked this hotel. If you’re a person who needs a safe (you know who you are) don’t book this hotel. Maintenance staff said “oh yeah we’ve been thinking of putting safes, just haven’t done it yet”
3. The room AC vent sits right above the bed. You get the luxury of listening to an old ac unit that sounds like a jet engine.
4. We booked the shuttle to leave at 5:30am the night before. In the morning we were told it only runs on the hours. They’re sign literally tells you that you can book the shuttle between the hours.
Worse hotel experience of my life
Clifton (front desk manager) and Amaya (front desk agent) were absolutely amazing. They were very nice and attentive. Any need my family and I had during our stay they were able to meet/ find a solution. Would definitely visit this hotel again.
The beds and pool
Horrible staff with hidden fees
Perfeft hotel Thank you DaLe Greenidue my pleasure
Dale was amazing and very helpful
Dave greenish was very helpful and provided excellent customer service to me. He made sure I was very well accommodated and answered all my questions. He’s a great supervisor and also very professional.
Not at all up to Hilton standards. Check in clerk at front desk wearing blue jeans. Breakfast buffet food was cold. Sausage overcooked and tough. No tv channels to watch. Spoke to front desk and was told maintenance was looking into it. Was told Hilton was going to another provider hence the problem. Nothing happened. Checked again and was told it was raining and that was the problem
I should try starting channel at 15 which I did and had a few unsatisfactory channels.
The only good thing was the sweet bartender neho was very pleasantly. I do not recommend this hotel.
The staff
Rooms were very, very hot on one side and cold on the other
Friendly of the staff. Cleanest of the room and hotel. Beds and pillows were comfortable.
Just need to make there is plenty of toilet paper for 4 people.
Staff was very nice and made me feel like I’m home.
Not enough parking areas and breakfast not included in the stay
The highlight of my experience was the famous DoubleTree cookie. Other than that, this 3-star hotel pales in comparison to my other Hilton stays.
Cleanliness and quality is subpar. The shower floor needed scrubbing to remove dirt/oil/grime. The tile floor was cracked in the bathroom.
Parking is insufficient at this location. There's an on-site parking lot that wraps around the hotel. I arrived at night to check-in and had to park in the overflow lot across a busy street from the hotel, shared with 18-wheel trucks. I had to move my vehicle in the morning so that a truck could maneuver in the lot. Unacceptable, especially because we pay a fee to park at this hotel. If I'm paying to park to stay at a hotel, I expect to park at the hotel and I expect my vehicle to be under security watch and guard.
Smart TVs are pretty common in hotels now. This one didn't have them...at least not in the room I stayed. No internet. No microwave. No mini fridge. There was no welcome message on the TV screen. I'm glad my stay only lasted one night.
Dale and his staff checked us in and they were OUTSTANDING!!! The hotel was very busy yet he and his staff stayed professional, they kept a smile and they were courteous and we appreciated that I love the Double Tree but when in Charlotte, NC I will definitely be staying at this one 😃
I enjoyed my recent stay at The Doubletree Tyvola property and I’ll definitely be back again. The guest service staff and general manager were very professional and attentive. Now let’s talk about the rooms, when you walked in you could tell that the cleaning staff takes pride in what they do. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness.
This property was also close and convenient to everything that we needed during our stay.
Overall my experience was a 10/10!!
I loved everything bout the property. The staff was great. I love that they have a bar. The pool was very clean.
They charge for parking. I feel if you’re already paying to stay there, parking should be free. Then I was told I would get my $100 deposit back and only got back $69 because I was not told that I was being charged for parking at check in. Also, the air was on in my room but it was still hot, idk if it was because the vent was on the other side of the ceiling away from the bed or what.
