Fantastic. Highly recommend the Hotel. Would stay again next time we're in Hanoi.
Pros:

The photo's online match the Hotel which was great. We didn't eat there but after we saw the breakfast on our last day I wished we had. The coffee at their cafe was yummy though.
The staff were very friendly, lovely, kind and always very helpful. They lent us a conversion plug as the one we bought didn't fit well in their plug Socket. A real savior because our phones were almost flat.
We had a massage in their Spa and it was amazing. The girls were lovely, professional and conferred with you that you were comfortable throughout the service.
Highly recommend them.
The rooms were serviced every day and bed changed as well. We were very impressed. Once again, the staff were lovely there as well.
The staff also helped us with recommendations for restaurants and told us where the roof top bar was, which was actually on our street and a must to visit for a happy hour drink or 2.
A BIG thank to all the staff for making our holiday awesome.

Tolles Personal, gute Lage, gutes Frühstück (vietnamesich). Personal hat jeden tag gründlich sauber gemacht.

A massive shout out to the hotel manager Mr Phu, what an amazing hospitality and such a gentleman. He made our stay so comfortable and extraordinary for us. We helped us booking the Halong Bay/Lan ha bay cruise with him. We arranged such a fabulous cruise for us and accommodated our dietary requirements so perfectly. He is always available on WhatsApp and replies to all your queries so promptly. Highly highly recommend.

Wonderful Stay — The Staff Made All the Difference
Pros:

Matilda Boutique Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter — everything is walkable, the streets are vibrant, and the atmosphere is exactly what you'd want from a first Hanoi experience.

Our room was neat, clean, and well-maintained with a lovely balcony — a great spot to sit with a morning coffee and watch the city come alive. Exactly what we needed after a long flight.

But the real highlight of our stay was the staff. Genuinely warm, helpful, and attentive — the kind of hospitality that elevates a good hotel into a memorable one.

A special mention for Mr. Phu, who truly went above and beyond. When we approached him for help with our day tours, he didn't just book them — he took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for, arranged a brilliant Lan Ha Bay cruise and a Ninh Binh full day tour that were both perfectly executed. Beyond the tours, his local knowledge was invaluable — restaurant recommendations, what to see, where to go, hidden gems around the Old Quarter. He gave us the kind of tips you'd only get from someone who genuinely loves the city.
