Very exciting venue and feels good to stay there. Great rooms and restaurant.
Room and bathroom was lovely and very clean. Bed was comfortable, the pull out sofa bed was setup for us on arrival and that was comfortable for an adult.
The building itself is stunning, the rooms and the restaurant & bar have great views over the bay.
The food for evening meal was a very good standard, prices are fine, drink and food orders taken in good time and food arrived pretty quickly for a busy night.
Breakfast was exceptional, sausages were butchers quality, food presentation, especially the grilled tomatoes - was excellent.
Can see into kitchen, which looked exceptionally clean and well organised, Chef looks unusually happy (verging on ecstatic) and said hello to children, can't be a Gordon Ramsey fan.
There were volunteers present on courses, they are magic folks, despite being away on a course, they still spoke to children that pestered them, the staff are great, especially with children.
Parking on-site is perfect and well organised. Little pedastrian gap in fence right on the quay so you can take a crabbing net for the kids.
Check-in out was easy, everything is well sign posted, easy to find your way around and get everything you need.
Reception made reservations in restaurant for us, came across as very well ran.
Shower kept cycling from warm to pretty cool, something wrong with hot water pump ?
Small niggles in restaurant bar - no ice in drinks despite it being very hot, cold drinks were not delivered cold enough to not require ice.
A fan in the room would be a nice addition as the aircon is on one side of the room, struggles to circulate, dont feel any air movement on other side of room.
Good location. Large room, with plenty of storage and seating. Great view over the back of the harbour. Plenty of choice at breakfast
Room decor and fittings a bit basic.
Quirky hotel lots of history & very central to Poole. Free car parking.
Great rooms very comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Great value for money.

Amazing gem of a hotel

We loved the view from our room of the harbour. We saw a beautiful sunset and then in the early hours a lovely thunderstorm. We had a drink in the bar overlooking the harbour and the evening meal was the best we've had for a long time. I would definitely recommend staying here, we had a lovely walk and watched the boats come in. Great work the RNLI do an was an honour to stay so close and contribute.
We were a little disappointed with the breakfast for the price we paid. The bar had a few problems with the beer so only bottled available, no major problems.
Everything very good and we took the lifeboat tour which was great - better than expected
Would have liked a fresh pot of tea and sourdough bread
The machine to make tea and the mugs
Everything
Can’t put a finger on it
Highly recommend it. Very comfortable & very clean. Easy to get to.

Good size room and excellent view.
Shower in bath and bath def needs better anti slip mat.
Breakfast a bit messy with chinaware running out often and the scrambled eggs overcooked. Muesli would have been welcome. Extra charge for porridge seems odd.
