Wonderful and relaxing and we had the weather to make the stay even better.
Pros:

The staff were lovely and friendly, the location superb, the rooms were clean and and nicely finished.

Cons:

The food was the only thing that let our stay down. There was no gluten free sausages, even though we gave plenty of notice, most places use gluten free sausages. The eggs were hard and the scrambled egg was like hard lumps. It was under the hot plates for so long . It's the 1st hotel we've stayed in where the cook breakfast wasn't served to us, that's why it wasn't appetisering. The main meal we had was Luke warm and again limited choice for gluten free.
There was no choice if drink available for gluten free. In this day and age I would have thought as the hotel knew one of our party was a coeliac for the last few weeks they could have accommodated this guest

Very disappointing for a 4 star hotel.
Pros:

I wanted an omelette, it was an extra charge. Our tariff included breakfast and dinner. My fish and chip dinner went back the first night as it was inedible. My wife's vegetarian mushroom pie had soggy pastry. The food and service wasn't worthy of a 4 star rating!

Cons:

Food and service. Because of a poor dinner we were offered a complimentary bottle of wine for the second night. On the second night we were told only a glass of wine was available!
