my only complaint was that only one coffee machine was working at breakfast the que was so long my breakfast would have been cold so I had tea instead.
Room was good lovely with air conditioning but without lifts we weren’t prepared but were offered help if required. Breakfast was delicious and the welcome cookie was a treat! Staff all very friendly. The pool was a bit disappointing as cramped changing rooms and jaquizzi area but was refreshing having a swim on a very hot evening. Our evening meal was delicious too!

The bar area was great and bar staff were lovely, good location for Cheltenham.
Poor reception staff. Hygiene in the breakfast room was appalling. We booked a king room which turned out to be on the lower ground floor facing a brick wall which made the room dark and sombre looking. Not the best when we were there to celebrate a special event.
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not What I Expect From Hilton
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this hotel. I have stayed at many Hilton properties around the world, and unfortunately, this was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Considering the amount of money I paid, both the service and the room were well below the standard I would expect from Hilton.
Even basic amenities were missing from the room — there was no dental kit or even a bathrobe.
What upset me most was the birthday package I paid extra for to surprise my husband. I clearly informed reception that we were arriving on the 7th and that his birthday was on the 8th. Despite this, the birthday banner was put up on the 7th, completely ruining the surprise I had planned for him.
To make matters worse, the decoration itself was extremely poor. The banner looked cheap and badly wrinkled/shrivelled, and there was barely any decoration at all. The package was also supposed to include a cake platter, but what we received was nothing close to what I expected — just two macarons and one small dessert. There was no actual birthday cake for us to cut. I genuinely do not understand what I paid the extra £15 for. It felt like a complete waste of money.
The service at reception did not improve the experience either. The receptionist came across as cold and unwelcoming, with very little friendliness or warmth during our interactions. When you are staying at a Hilton and paying Hilton prices, you expect a certain level of hospitality, and unfortunately that was completely missing here.
Overall, the room was below average, the service was below average, and the birthday surprise I paid extra for was handled so poorly that it actually ruined what was supposed to be a special moment.
I left feeling extremely disappointed and regretting the money I spent on this stay.
