Better Inn Moshi pros & cons Overall good value for the price and lovely staff
Pros:

Very clean

Isack the manager very helpful

Reception & Restaurant Majid was excellent

Very nice breakfast with excellent Moshi coffee!

The cook was excellent and very friendly.

Cons:

Sept 3, 2026 a simple carrot soup order for a night time meal took 45 minutes to prepare.

Sept 4, 2026 the following night as soon as I returned to the Better Inn in the evening I ordered from the 2 young women at the reception/restaraurant desk tomato soup and asked them to let me know when it was ready ( my room was across from the restaurant area).
When 40 minutes later no one had informed me of anything I went to inquire about the soup. The 2 young women did not understand what I was asking? Another guest at the Inn intervened (she spoke Swahili and also didn't understand why my order wasn't ready).

I had to reach out to the manager Isack to intervene. I think a manager has better things to do with his time. Even after he intervened it took another 20 minutes to get a 300ml bowl of soup 2/3 full therefore about 200ml for US$5.00.

I am not sure why the restaurant at the Inn charges is in USD dollars. All other restaurants I went to in Moshi (even roof tops and fancy cafes and restaurants change in Tanzanian shillings).

Moral of the story great breakfast. After the 2 nights experiences at the Inn restaurant - I ate out at lovely restaurants, cafes and rooftops in downtown Moshi.

Best value for money in moshi
Pros:

The best value for money you will find in moshi. The staff are all very helpful and friendly, you can book excursions with them. The bed was comfortable, food was good. Hot water and a good shower. Beautiful area for relaxing. We will come again

Pros:

Es ist eine schöne Unterkunft mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Natürlich kann man für den Preis keinen absoluten Luxus erwarten, aber es gibt alles was man braucht (vor allem ein funktionierendes Mückennetz). Liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums, aber ist ein guter Ort, um Erkundungen rund um Moshi zu unternehmen.

Cons:

Etwas außerhalb der Stadt und beim Stromausfall hat der Generator leider nicht funktioniert.

Pros:

La zona común que tiene con un par de mesas y un par de sofás es muy agradable y tranquila. El WIFI funciona muy bien. Y el personal que te atiende es muy atento.

Pros:

- Very friendly staff, Isaac was super responsive and helpful!
- Room is okay and clean, okay value for money.
- Nice outside area.
- Decent breakfast.

Cons:

- Food is okay but very expensive
- Location is far from center, always have to take a bajaji to go anywhere
- No mosquito nets on the windows so ventilation to the very hot and stuffy room came at the cost of mosquitoes in the room.
- shower directly next to the toilet so whenever you shower everything gets super wet

Super Unterkunft, komme gerne wieder.
Pros:

Sehr gutes Frühstück. Hatte ganz vergessen, dass ich das Zimmer bereits online bezahlt hatte. Als ich darauf aufmerksam gemacht wurde, checkte ich meine Mails und bekam das doppelt gezahlte Geld wieder zurück.

Cons:

Unterkunft ist etwas versteckt, und erst nicht leicht zu finden. Das letzte Stück Weg vor der Unterkunft kann bei Regen matschig werden.
