Excellent option when in Podgorica
Pros:

Ours was an overnight stay while in Podgorica and the hotel was an excellent choice! It offered us a very comfortable quiet sleep. The room was clean and spacious, with a large bathroom with plenty of hot water. The included breakfast was buffet style and had plenty of offerings. Would recommend and stay here again!

Gender disparity in professionalism to be addressed in the hotel

I am writing this review in a constructive spirit, particularly because I believe that women in professional roles should be supported through high-quality professional training.

I would first like to acknowledge the two male members of staff at the front desk in the morning. They welcomed me very well, answered every question, and managed to reassure me even when there was some confusion. Their manner was professional, calm and helpful. They made a real effort to offer the best of the hotel, and I appreciated that.

Unfortunately, my experience changed significantly because of an incident involving the air conditioning. I called reception to explain that the air conditioning did not seem to be working. The female member of staff on duty in the afternoon or evening raised her voice, while repeatedly calling me “ma’am”, when interrupting me, and created an unnecessary conflict.

A technician was sent to the room. He was courteous and discreet. He used a ladder to adjust something in the ceiling area, and the issue appeared to be resolved. Since he did not speak English, I called the front desk again so that the situation could be translated. The member of staff did assist with translation, which I acknowledge. However, she then came to my room, although I had not asked her to enter, and her manner became intrusive and overbearing.

Instead of saying that she was sorry the air conditioning had not been active, that she hoped the matter was now resolved, and that I should contact reception if I needed anything else, she appeared determined to prove that the fault was mine. She repeatedly suggested that I had not switched the system on properly, and kept asking whether I had inserted the key card in the card reader, as though I were an inexperienced traveller or rather incapable to operate technical devices.

When she entered the room, I remarked, indirectly, that I hoped she was satisfied with her customer care.

Cons:

Wir wurden morgens vom Baulärm geweckt, insgesamt eine eher kühle Atmosphäre. Eher für Business, weniger für Touristen.

Good value and location despite minor flaws

Excellent location, friendly staff, very good facility and clean rooms, excellent value - very economic and breakfast included

Cons:

Few small flaws, the toilet door lock and safe deposit box in the room is broken, they didn’t manage to fix those during my stay, but since I’m visiting on my own so no major issues with those. The lobby bar unable to charge bill to my room, which is weird but anyway I just pay on site anyway, a bit inconvenient and weird, but not something I can’t live with.
