Das freundliche vorwiegend junge Team war sehr hilfsbereit.
Pros:

Wasserdruck noch nie so stark erlebt, super! Holzfussboden im Zimmer, sehr angenehm. Zimmer und Badezimmer ausreichend groß, Doppelbett riesig!

Cons:

Beim Frühstücksbuffet fehlte mir das Bircher Müsli.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut und zentral. Hübsch gestaltet, geschmackvoll dekoriert.
Die Mitarbeitenden sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist ok. Die Zimmer sauber.

Modern hotel with great amenities and central location.
Pros:

Very clean and modern facility. Centrally located to Central Rail Station as well as walking distance to numerous restaurants and shopping. The room was spacious and very well decorated.

Cons:

The deep bathtub was a challenge to get in and out.

Great hotel, quiet location.
Pros:

My husband and I traveled to Europe in May 2026. The Grand Hotel Doria is relatively well located, clean, and quite comfortable. Although it has a somewhat older decor, it's clear they've renovated many things, such as the elevators, room doors, rooms decoration, and the room lighting system, which is touch-sensitive. The bed linens and towels are very good. I had booked a deluxe room with a king-size bed, and they gave us a free upgrade to a junior suite on the 9th floor. The suite was huge, and so was the bathroom. Top-of-the-line bed linens and towels, excellent bathroom amenities, and double-glazed windows in the rooms make everything super quiet, which is great because Milan is a noisy city, like Rome. The breakfast is great, with a good variety of items, and the breakfast area is quite spacious, with plenty of tables, so you do not wait to be seated. The hotel and restaurant service were excellent, very quick, and helpful. The hotel location is good. It's far from the crowded area of the Duomo, but everything becomes close by Metro. You need to walk about 10 minutes to the Loreto metro station, which is the closest, and another 10 minutes to the central train station. From both station you can go everywhere. There's a pizzeria (Pizzium) almost opposite the hotel that's excellent and very charming, and a few blocks back, towards the Duomo, there are excellent, highly rated restaurants. It worths if you are looking for a cozy, calm and nice hotel, far from the noisy/touristic area.

Cons:

The air conditioning in our room had a very bad smell, like dirty water/sewage. When we arrived at the hotel it wasn't like that, but at night, when we returned from dinner, the smell was unbearable. I called the hotel reception, but it was already very late and they didn't have anyone who could look into it. Since it wasn't very hot outside and our room was on a high floor, we slept with the bedroom and living room windows open and it was ok. I mentioned that to the front desk in the following morning when I was checking-out and they really looked surprise and asked the maintenance to check on it immediately.

Milan is considered a safe city but If you go out for dinner as a couple, it is better to return to the hotel by taxi because it's not so safe to walk around the central station late at night. Large groups are ok to walk around.

Cons:

Bath was clogged and always water pull up. I spoke with management every morning about this problem, every morning they promise me to repair it and every evening were the same problem. I understand that they just do not want to do something.
