The evening reception employee was great.

Cons:

The couch in the room was dirty. Had white stuff all over it. The microwave didn't work. The refrigerator froze my food. I was not able to pay cash for something out of the case at the desk. Breakfast was chaos. I gave up trying to find the coffee. When taking a shower the bathtub was not draining. The entire bottom floor hallway smelled of cigarette smoke.

Decent stay.
Pros:

My room was a good size with a nice leather recliner and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, nice selection but not too many healthy options like fruit or yogurt, that I saw anyway. Location is on a busy road so can't walk anywhere. Overall, it was a decent stay.

Cons:

The pool in the lobby was a little strange. Breakfast is also in the lobby and one day I left early, came back around 12:30 and it still hadn't been cleaned, there was food all over the tables and floor.

Room was somewhat clean.

Cons:

Grout in bathroom was black. Hallway smelt musky. Breakfast, most things were low, out or cold. The waffle maker had food stuck to it. I saw unsupervised kids getting food with their bare hands.

Facility impressive; attention to details lacking; inadequate staff adversely affected the quality of the experience.
Pros:

The facility is high quality. It is beautiful and we loved the different areas to enjoy- breakfast terrace, bar & grill, lobby lounging areas for family gatherings, wonderful pool. Liked the omelette tickets and the great breakfast bar. Liked the all-day lemon water. Great location. All in all, really nice.

Cons:

It seemed short- staffed. Even when we put the “Make up Room” tag on the door handles of our rooms, there was no housekeeping. We had used damp towels for a few says. The housekeeping staff seemed overworked, exhausted and hot.
Also, some days there was no omelette maker at the breakfast bar. The lobby was not cleaned daily.
Although we enjoyed talking and playing card games and Monopoly in the lounge area, all of the furniture was uncomfortable. Too deep, too soft. Hard to get out of. Also- THERE IS NO RAMP DOWN INTO THE LOUNGE AREA!!!! This is an ADA infraction. Our grandpa could not get in to sit with us in his wheelchair.
Coffee cups and juice glasses ran out and staff said they had to be washed. Coffee ran out. Juice proportions not correct; too weak one day, too strong the next. Breakfast tables not cleared efficiently for the large number of people.
Insufficient handicapped parking close to the front door.

It was evident that things have changed since new ownership took charge. I will not return.

The Academy is in a convenient location for our visit.

Cons:

This was my third stay in the Academy over the past several years. The property has noticeably deteriorated, with maintenance and other services being ignored.

Hole in the wall, nasty food stuck on the fridge by microwave and the room was very old. Things were beat up. Toilet was old and barely flushed

It was ok but the hotel needs a major upgrade and it is a very outdated hotel.
Pros:

The breakfast was good! Although we had to check in with our key to get plates and utensils to get breakfast.

Cons:

It was outdated and the beds were uncomfortable. We had nets flying in our room and the carpet was dirty and stain. The hotel needs an upgrade.

They did change our room due to foul smell.

Cons:

Unprofessional staff, uncleaned rooms, lack of maintenance to facilities. When asked to speak to management have yet to hear from them to address our concerns
