Hospitallity is a must & expectated from a full service hotel, and the Academy nailed it this time!
Pros:

The hopitality was there for us, everytime. Check-in, check-out & anytime we had a question, even during the busiest times Sonya multi-tasked her way through assisting more than one guest at a time. Thanks for taking care of us.

Cons:

Breakfast started at 7am, at times I needed to be up & out of the hotel early, we missed the breakfast. It's one of the best hotel breakfasts available in the area. If you stay at the Academy, make sure you catch the breakfast, it's a great way to strat your day!

Pros:

Comfortable beds and pillows. Clean, quiet. Breakfast was extensive and really good (eggs, potatoes, sausage, French toast, waffles, cereal, bagels).

Cons:

The water pressure wasn’t great in the shower. At breakfast you had to wait in line and present your room key to get a plate.

Pros:

Beautiful, clean room. The lobby was fabulous with many comfortable seating areas.

Cons:

It was odd having an omelette station that you had to pay for. The breakfast was free but last time we stayed I thought the omelettes were too. I could be mistaken.

With a little attention to maintenance and upkeep, this hotel could thrive.
Pros:

Young lady at front desk was exceptionally welcoming and friendly; always greeted me with smile

Cons:

Room was dark; floor lamp didn’t work, light bulbs missing in bathroom and dressing room.
There was no comfortable chair to sit in.
There were no luggage racks.
House staff did not empty trash or refresh towels and soap on multiple night stay.

For the location and ease of access to the town, interstate, and AFB, this is an ok place to stay.
Pros:

The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. The AC worked well in the unit. Access in and out of the building was easy and there is plenty of free parking onsite. The AFB is nearby which is why we were in town.

Cons:

The overall age and cleanliness of the hotel itself is lacking. Our room had a huge stain on the carpet right when you walk in--not a great first impression of the room. There was no screen on the window. The major touch areas of the room were dirty including the remote control for the TV, the makeup mirror in the bathroom, the bathroom door, the main door of the unit, and AC unit controls. There was a napkin shoved in the peephole of our unit door. The DirecTV cable box did not work and when I tried to call the front desk the units phone would not work as the phone cord was not functioning. The hot tub was "under construction" (and appears to have been for quite some time) and there was no indication of that when we reserved the hotel. We went to the hotel bar on a Sunday evening (7ish) and there wasn't enough staff to serve people. The one girl trying to help had to get the front desk person to assist her in the kitchen. We watched a guy walk up to the poor bartender and berate her for his pizza he ordered 45 minutes ago and had still not received it. There were many item we weren't allowed to order off the menu as the kitchen was out of beef and chicken. We ordered cheese sticks and could not find napkins or utensils anywhere.

Managed to ruin a gem
Cons:

The new owner of this hotel has taken a well established, loved hotel, and has managed to let it go under. The water does not drain well in bathtub, bathrooms looks like they haven't been cleaned in days, dust and grime everywhere.

It has been apart of the Colorado Springs community for many many years. This is an absolute disgrace!

Overall I had a good experience and would return for another stay.
Pros:

We arrived at 3AM and the front desk was absolutely wonderful. The bed was great and the pillows were fantastic. The water pressure in the shower was much better than expected. The temperature of the room was perfect when we arrived.

Cons:

We didn't arrive until 3AM and check-out wasn't until 11AM but Housekeeping knocked on the door around 8AM and just came right in before we could even respond.
