As a family with 4 little wonderful children who are constantly active and looking for adventures, hotel staycations are always in our to do list. Most of the time we go out of town, but we always overlook the OG Edsa Shangri-la. 3 days ago we found an opportunity to stay. We have been into good 4-5 stars hotels ourselves but today, I think I found the hotel who truly defined what a 5 star hotel was.

From my first step down from our vehicle, to our very easy and hassle free check in, to all of our elevator rides with truly accommodating staff and employees, to the service who catered to us and made sure we were at our coziest and how can I forget, Sir Joseph and the team of experienced and most attentive lifeguards who saved my son's life -- too quickly that he didn't even need urgent medical attention, Sir Joseph and to your team, my heartfelt thank you! To the admin, medical and security team who didnt even take 10 mins in going down to check if we were okay, thank you!

We will definitely be back :)

The room and the amenities are clean and top notch. The ambience is also relaxing. The customer service team is responsive to our concerns. They also have in-house nurses that were quick to respond when we needed assistance.

It was also my birthday. The housekeeping team, most esp. Ms. Tess, made extra effort to decorate the room and provide some gifts for my birthday.

They are kind and hospitable

Superb customer service from check in down to check out, all of the staff are very friendly especially Mam Tess from Housekeeping and Miss Cess from Reception. Remarkable experience and our family enjoyed a lot especially my twin toddlers. They even prepared cakes and balloons since it is their birthday. Love all their amenities, the food, the pool etc. Will definitely come back here.

We had such a lovely 3 day stay at Edsa Shangri-La! Our room was always clean and comfortable, and we really appreciate Ms. Marga and Mr. Eleazar for taking such good care of it.

I am referring to your health club. The temperature is too cold. You are wasting energy and needless power bills. Gyms cannot be this cold. I bring it up frequently but they don’t do anything. They said they cannot control it. Only engineering can control. Why don’t they just put a switch and thermostat in the health club premises? You will save a lot of money

Overall, we had an excellent stay with true 5-star service throughout! A very special thanks to Jazmine and Rans from the front desk team. Their warm welcomes, lovely conversations, and thoughtful suggestions to maximize our family’s enjoyment were invaluable to us.

The food standard across the hotel is top-notch. Dining at HEAT, the Lobby Lounge, and the Horizon Club was fantastic—food served at perfect temperatures and the coffee made to perfection. In fact, the coffee in the Horizon Club beats most shopping mall cafés easily!

Facilities wise, everything is good, though you can tell parts are aging a bit, with minor water leakage spots noticed on some ceilings. As for the room, it was very comfortable.

Housekeeping service could be slightly sharper, as they occasionally missed daily refills like tea bags, slippers, or extra towels. However, these were minor hiccups since we could easily request them using the Shangri-La app, which works brilliantly.

Despite the slight facility wear, the stellar service and incredible food make this hotel a top recommendation. We look forward to coming back to Edsa Shangri-la!!

I had a wonderful experience at Shangri-La EDSA. The room was elegant, comfortable, and well-maintained, while the staff provided excellent and attentive service throughout our stay. Most specially Mam Tess was very accommodating and polite to us. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly made the experience exceptional. Overall, a refined and memorable stay definitely a place I would be happy to visit again.

The rooms are just the right size—not too large, not too small—making them feel comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was also well maintained, with 24-hour hot and cold water.

The pricing is on the higher side, but if you're staying at Shangri-La, you know you're paying for the overall experience and location.

One area where I felt there was room for improvement was the service. It was occasionally a little slow, and some requests—especially laundry—required multiple follow-ups.

The absolute highlight of the property, however, was the Health Center. The facilities were fantastic: a well-equipped gym, steam and sauna, hot and cold plunge pools, and a swimming pool. Definitely one of the best features of the property.

Overall, a comfortable stay with excellent wellness facilities, though service responsiveness could be improved.

One Suggestion : Please do something for Wait at breakfast table, we can see lines starting 7:30 AM going upto 10:30 AM, esp on weekends. Can you extend time of breakfast till 11:30 AM for weekends for better crowed management?

We stayed to celebrate birthdays in the family. Thank for for setting up baloons and some decorations.

The kids had fun in the pool. Mark and Adonis did a good job watching over the kids.

Sad to say the food at thw breakfast buffet was terrible. We had it replaced but the taste was still the same. :(
