my reservation was not honored, "system down" no help from booking nor front desk staff. you could tell ac was not working, room keys were failing, holes in drapes

Place is a fraud, do not book
Pros:

I didn't stay there I was told to leave when I arrived and no rooms for me. The fire alarm was going off. Someone was working on the fire alarm control panel

Cons:

I didn't like booking a room to be turned away when I arrived. I didn't like being told I didn't have a room to later be charged as a no show. I am proceeding with fraud reports

Room matched the price but the corporation needs to invest in the property and support their team members
Pros:

Really appreciated all that the staff tried to do to care for us. The room was ok. Mattress was awful and needs replaced. Also the smell down the hallway of cigarettes and marijuana was too much for us.

Cons:

There was no communication ahead of time about the hotel being closed by the city and studio 6 buying it the week of our stay. There were only 4 staff who were not being backed by leadership or owners. The staff did all they could working 16hr days and still could not keep up with the maintenance reasons it had closed or the cleaning. One of our rooms could never get keys that worked. We booked a king bed and a room with 2 doubles. Both were switched to single queen rooms because that’s all the staff could get to within their limitations. I feel studio 6 has failed those 4 staff members and all of its guests at this time.

staff was great..liked that i had a fridge..parkings included..felt safe

Cons:

building was run down..expensive for that value..the carpets were not cleamed..tonnes of black hair on my feet that even when i wiped my feet..heeps of dirt n hair where attached to my feet.. and I am a blonde.
would be nice to have basic utencils for the kitchen..and couldnt use the stove cuz i didnt have a match
didnt have shampoo ..have to bring your own

Cons:

Got there at three to check in was told that we couldn’t check in till 6 PM with no valid reason. Place had a lot of sketchy people hanging around, including the desk clerks. I canceled the reservation because I had to be somewhere and couldn’t wait till six and the place looked terrible!

IT WAS THE WORST TRAVEL EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. I WON'T USE BOOKING.COM OR STUDIO 6 AGAIN.
Pros:

Tiffany at the Studio 6 front desk was as helpful as possible. Very professional. Studio 6 and the facility were letting her down. She did the best she could under the circumstances. Booking.com has the wrong phone number for Studio 6 and they could NOT communicate properly with her due to the incorrect phone number being on the Studio 6 listings. (585-504-0822). It should be 585-663-5558 on the Booking.com site. And It's still wrong TODAY 05-06-26. This is why Tiffany could NOT Authorize the Refund by phone on 04/28/26. Tiffany generated a Studio 6 Refund, but Booing.com still wants an Authorization, and STUDIO 6 HAS CHARGED MY VISA A SECOND TIME - TO OVERRIDE TIFFANY'S REFUND.
THAT CHARGE NEEDS TO BE REVERSED OR I WILL DISPUTE IT.

Cons:

COMMUNICATION BETWEEN STUDIO 6 AND BOOKING.COM. UPDATE THE PHONE NUMBER LISTED FOR SYUDIO 6 ON The BOOKING.COM web site. The number listed is: 585-504-0822, but it should be 585-663-5558.
TAKE BETTER CARE OF THE FACILITY. THERE WERE MULTIPLE FACILITY ISSUES.
1. In the Hallway to my room 179, the hotel had a large plastic trash bin collecting water dripping from what appeared to be a Fire Suppression Sprinkler System (Gold colored Pipes I believe) as exposed within the open ceiling.
2. The Smoke Detector in my room 179 was malfunctioning and the only solution was to remove the only smoke alarm.
3. I also observed a large RODENT / RAT run across the floor in Room 179 within the first hour of my stay.

NOW I NEED STUDIO 6 TO CONFIRM MY ORIGINAL CANCELLATION AND REVERSE THE SECOND VISA CHARGE OF $306.12

In a stitch, it's a quick fix
Pros:

When I booked, it was an extended stay. When I got there it had been purchased by Hotel 6. So, some of the issues probably stemmed from the stress of changeover. We stayed on the first floor. Just a warning, out whole hallway smelled intensely of cigarettes. It's as if everyone decided to just pay the $250 fine and smoke it up! It wasn't long before our eyes were red and itchy. The room was clean, besides that. The staff was diligent in trying to help.

Cons:

The room was a complete disappointment. There was a strong unpleasant smell, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Leftover food from previous guests was still in the fridge — completely unacceptable. On top of that, the neighbors were very loud, so there was no peace either during the day or at night. Overall, the conditions did not meet even basic standards of cleanliness and comfort. I do not recommend it.
