Did not cater to my disabled grandmothers needs. The rooms were extremely far from entrance with stairs.

really disappointed in this trip and wouldn’t return, have been to many spa hotels and ardoe house didn’t meet the stand
Pros:

the food in the blair restaurant was amazing and the service there was really good too, we felt really taken care of. the room was massive too that we had and the bathroom was really nice

Cons:

the building itself was run down in places and more could have been done with the space, the dining room was very dark and our bedroom faced onto a brick wall. the bar was awful and there were plates left out with food on them for hours so it smelled really strongly of food and the barman working kept looking over and ignoring the mess and was either on his phone or recounting the till every 5 minutes for something to do. he also shouted “smile” at us in the corridor when we were getting in the lift at the end of the night. there was no chance for relaxing in this bar and the only music playing was heart radio on a big tv which he kept singing loudly to and dancing across the bar, if we had wanted that we would’ve gone to spoons.

A superb stay.
Pros:

Lovely room with some chocolates and fruit waiting for our arrival. Superb choice of food for our evening meal. Comfortable bar & drawing room for drinks. Terrific choice for breakfast the following morning.

Picture perfect hotel in the foothills of Aberdeen
Pros:

Ardoe is a picture perfect hotel-front just up the hill from Aberdeen CBD. The main entrance was styled very formally.

The rooms were way up the back, was a bit of a trek but were spacious and presented neatly.

The sitting rooms in the front area were quaint and peaceful.
The restaurant was lovely, the service was prompt and the food delicious.

Cons:

The bed and pillows did feel like they were due a change some time ago.

Tout était très bien dans l’ensemble.
Personnel au top.
Très bonne qualité de l’hôtel.
Excellent rapport qualité / prix : un 4 étoile avec petit déjeuner inclus pour le prix payé c’était une super affaire.

Cons:

Seul bémols :
1. Plomberie un peu vieillotte), tout comme la salle de bain qui gagnerait à être refaite et modernisée (même si ça colle avec l’ambiance château / maison ancienne du lieu et la chambre.
2. Le bâtiment est ancien c’est pas toujours ultra bien isolé donc on peut entendre pas mal de bruits qui peuvent déranger pour s’endormir / réveiller le matin.
En plus, pas de chance pour nous il y avait un mariage ce jour là qui s’y tenait et notre chambre donnait sur le côté ou la salle des festivités avait lieu du coup ça faisait un peu de prix (rien de catastrophique mais ça a un peu « ruiné » le calme).
