Picturesque, quiet, staff very friendly and helpful.
Bathroom toiletries were basic, gym showers were old and worn. I’d suggest a barman in whisky country knows something about whisky….
The food was excellent which is always nice to find. The rooms are spacious, the room we were in needed a little bit of a dusting. Which was done the next day.
The doors in the hotel bang very loud when people are coming and going and we could hear people talking, which woke us up.
It was a comfy room and very busy hotel which was great to see. Good facilities. Fantastic location for surrounding areas in Aberdeenshire.
As wake early 8am breakfast at the weekend was late so would be good to have earlier buffer options as had to leave early Sunday with no breakfast. Did ask Saturday for 7.30 breakfast but obviously not usual procedure. Information book in the hotel about hotel policies, facilities and local areas would have been useful too.

Large hotel with good facilities and pleasant, helpful staff.
The breakfast room could do with another coffee machine in another corner. The current setup tends to cause traffic jams.
The location was so peaceful, the character of the old building was lovely. Pool and facilities were great.
