Pros:

La partie ancienne du chateau

Cons:

Il y avait en même temps un gros mariage et un séminaire. Beaucoup trop de monde, salon et bar privatisé, parking très chargés...
Route d'accès très mal entretenue.

On a adoré et rapport qualité/prix imbattable
Pros:

La taille et le confort des chambres. La piscine avec sauna, jacuzzi et hammam.
Le petit dej’ super complet. Le bâtiment principal qui est superbe et le personnel super agréable. Et en dehors d’Aberdeen (qui au passage est l’une des villes les plus tristes que j’ai eu l’occasion de voir 😢)

Cons:

Pour dire quelque chose…un jus d’orange frais aurait été meilleur, mais bon, c’est vraiment un détail

Nothing, minor criticism would be the carpets were a little dirty. It does look good when guests see this.

Tolle Zimmer, nicht so schöner Spabereich
Pros:

Die Zimmer sind wunderschön renoviert. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und komfortabel.

Cons:

Das Schwimmbad ist sehr renovierungsbedürftig.

Good facilities in lovely surroundings
Pros:

Good location-restaurant and drawing room very good . Nicely cooked and presented food with attentive and helpful staff.
Swimming pool and gym also very good .

Cons:

Breakfast was generally typical of a complete buffet for hot and cold food.
However the porridge which was made on request was not good. Perhaps a trip to Carrbridge and the golden spurtle ?

Room 150 I was given was dusty and there were bark of dogs and when I requested a change, it was turned down, despite telling the staff that the trip was our 25th anniversary getaway. Not even an anniversary courtesy.

De omgeving was mooi

Cons:

We hadden voor 2 nachten gereserveerd. Bij aankomst was de baliemedewerker al kortaf. We konden naar onze kamer en dat zag er op zich wel netjes uit met uitzicht op groen, wat mooi was. De eerste nacht bleek het ene bed compleet doorgezakt te zijn.
Toen we dit de volgende ochtend aangaven was het wat kortaf dat ze zouden kijken voor een oplossing. Later hoorden we dat we die middag naar een andere kamer konden.
Aangekomen op die kamer was het bed goed, maar het uitzicht verschrikkelijk. We keken op een opberg binnenplaats met containers! Toen we dit gingen melden bij de baliemedewerker zei ze alleen maar ja het is niet anders. We hebben niets anders. Deze kamer gebruiken we liever ook niet. Of toe wel we hebben dus nu betaald voor een noodkamer, terwijl we een mooiere kamer hadden.

De eerste avond hebben we daar gegeten, maar het personeel was overbelast. Daar kan het personeel niets aan doen, maar wij hadden wat te vieren en een beetje klantvriendelijkheid is dan wel mooi. Ze zeiden dat het wat langer kon duren, maar een uur wachten op een dessert is wel erg lang! Terwijl het personeel op de klok liep te kijken wanneer ze weg konden gaan.

Het zwembad was gedateerd. Dat is niet erg, maar erg slecht onderhouden.

We zouden hier niet weer naar toe gaan en raden het ook niet aan.

The wasp on the second floor and all the dead’s ones as I’m allergic need shot if stung so was abit aware of my surroundings due too this

Not quite 4-star.
Pros:

Beautiful and peaceful location. Impressive reception hallway. Very good spa, pool and gym. Plenty of free parking. The staff were efficient and friendly.

Cons:

For a 4-star hotel, it missed the mark in attention to detail. The tables in the bar were not wiped down after use. The walk-in shower required maintenance. One expects a vanity kit, separate soap for the shower and the washhand basin, with quality products. The tennis courts in the grounds have not been maintained and looked very sad and neglected.
