Beautiful property

Cons:

I made a reservation for one person at €299 per night without breakfast. The booking stated that a complimentary room upgrade was available. However, when I checked in, the receptionist told me that no upgrade was possible because there were no rooms available.

A couple of hours later, when I came down from my room, I overheard another receptionist upgrading a couple to a suite. This left me confused, as I had been told that no upgraded rooms were available.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut und sehr vielseitig und abwechslungsreich.
Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr zentral und sehr gut. Das Hotel hat bei uns einen sehr guten Eindruck hinterlassen.

Great location for walking round Hamburg
Pros:

Modern hotel with spacious rooms. Location is key if you are a tourist. The local tourist map has two walking routes and both are within 5 minutes of the hotel. There is a U station 100 metres in one direction and an S station 100 metres the other way. We put the car in the parking and did not take it out until we left. Parking not cheap – over €30 per night. We did not use the hotel restaurant as there are so many to choose from a short walk away. Minor niggle: it has the usual notice about saving water but they have installed sinks with a plug that does not close, so you have to leave the water running while shaving!

Great location, friendly staff and good value for money.
Pros:

Room was spacious and clean, well decorated and freshly new. The river view was very pretty, not too much noise.
The location is very good, walking distance from major tourist attractions and shopping.

Cons:

Bathroom accessories were limited - there was no toothbrush, shaving kit etc. For this hotel and price, I'd expect more on this part.
