Without the whole bathroom debacle, this was a fine hotel to stay at.
Pros:

The bed was okay and the air conditioning worked well.

Cons:

The bathroom shower flooded as soon as it got turned on, I had to use the hand held shower head the entire time. On top of that, the water never got warm.

I was sadly disappointed.
Pros:

Other than the staff in the office I really don't anything to comment on what I liked.

Cons:

The refrigerator in the room did not work during my 3-day stay. I requested housekeeping every day and on the first day they did not clean it. I was gone the whole day and came back to a dirty room. The office did make a adjustment to my bill for the non working refrigerator and the housekeeping error.There were items that needed to be repaired a flickering light, a leaky toilet and I needed assistance to read the label on the air conditioning / heating system. I couldn't decipher what was cool what was hot. I informed the office on my checking out that the toilet was continually leaking water into the bowl and did not stop leaking during my whole stay. In regards to the look on the outside of the hotel the grass needed to be cut and there were weeds in and all the flower beds that have grown quite tall.

Staff was nice, breakfast was good. Showers were terrible. Floor felt dirty.
Pros:

Staff was Pleasent.

Cons:

Bathroom: Barely had warm water and water pressure. The carpets felt as though they had layer of dirt inside them.

We will definitely be back
Pros:

It’s always a pleasure to stay here for a couple days this was our 4th time in 2 years and we’ll definitely be back this fall! It’s clean, breakfast is good beds are comfortable and staff is always nice. We go to cedar point twice a year and it’s perfect for my family.

Pros:

Water was tepid. No hot water made the jacuzzi worthless. If I want to soak in cool water on a cool evening I'd go out to the pool. I had to go to Cedar Point and shower in their public showers! This was a REAL let down. Who spends all day walking, running, climbing stairs to go to a hotel and have a cold shower, catch a chill and fall asleep cold!?! I would have given a MUCH better review if the water was warm. But since 50% of the reason I stay in a hotel is to get a shower and the shower made me uncomfortable.... I mean, really.... I could sleep in my car or sleep in a tent (at a campgrounds with hot showers) for a lot less money. I also requested an 8 am wake up call so I'd be up in time for breakfast. I also wanted to be at Cedar Point early to take advantage of my VIP pass with early entry. Laquinta failed me there too.

Cons:

No pool towels.
No 2nd floor elevator.

COLD SHOWERS
Pros:

Pet friendly. Big positive. Clean rooms. Big positive. Comfortable beds. Big positive. Average fair for hotel breakfast. OK. Fruit would have been nice. Coffee was good. Those are positives. No pool towels. Ugh. No laundry. Grrr No elevators. Grrrrr. Huge huge huge HUGE negative is taking a shower in tepid water. When I took a shower at Cedar point that was actually hot and actually made feel clean in spite of the fact that half your stuff gets wet and the privacy is limited. Well... a good shower is something I EXPECT from a hotel and when a public shower exceeds the hotel. There's a problem. When I have spoken to people who have stayed in the 2nd building before and has admitted it's been a problem and when desk staff acts like it's a new issue and Im feeling lied too.... The issue gets bigger. If you want a hot shower, dont stay in the 2nd building.

If you have a choice, choose somewhere else
Pros:

Very dated, initial room reeked of smoke and door wouldn't shut properly, as well as did not have a safety lock. Asked to be moved and front desk was accommodating, but assume they had to put someone else in that room. 2nd room was better in regards to smell and door, but was still very dated and "fine". No hot water for shower; from conversations I was not the only room with this issue. Had to have keycard re-keyed 4 times -- I have stayed in many hotels and carry my key the same way and have never had to have this done. Price was high b/c of sports tournament. I would never stay here again.

Serviceable
Pros:

The location is great. In-between Sandusky shops and Cedar Point

Cons:

Our room had been heavily used and really needed updating. Beds, paint, flooring, etc. It got the job done but don't expect too much.
