Quality Inn & Suites Sandusky

The breakfast was sparce such as two choices of cereal, coffee wasn’t attended well, no choice of yogurt, not much choice of muffins or fruits , I ask for lotion as there wasn’t any in the room and the woman gave me a container that is usually attached to the wall, hair dryer was in the closet and the kind that is supposed to be attached to the wall, the wife was terrible. Terrible WiFi and the woman at the desk said the manager was off and she would call her and find out about it and it never did. No people ever removed the trash in the trash cans. We were there 3 nights.

Although the room was clean, the halls and elevator floor needed cleaning and garbage cans overflowing in the hall. It was a busy week though! Overall we loved it!

Upon arrival there was a wet wash cloth on the shower rod and a cup of water in the refrigerator. The gal at the front desk did offer to have us change rooms or come up to check & see if our room had been cleaned. If garbage was emptied,dry towels folded & bed made then room was cleaned. The toilet actually would pivot a couple inches & really needed to be upgraded. Also the shower head trim was falling off. We stayed in the room we had since there was no guarantee another room would be any better. Tha stairways & hallways were very dirty. Would not stay here again.

The room was dirty, tv didn't work, drawers didn't close. The closet door was stuck and couldn't open. Finally got it open for the hair dryer and could tell it hadn't been opened and. Leaned in a lomg time.

Gym inadequate

I'm not usually a complainer, but this was a profoundly filthy hotel. The hallways looked like a school cafeteria after an unusual number of food fights. The elevator wheezed and whined, but was probably the better option to the staircase, which smelled of rotting food. The breakfast offerings were spartan (but there my expectations were low). Coffee appallingly weak. I'd like to offer the excuse that the staff were overworked, but to be honest they seemed to be nonchalantly compartmentalizing.

The breakfast was only available until 9am: definitely too early, making it impossible for me to have it given that I absolutely needed some rest in the morning. I think a hotel should allow the option for guests to rest and have breakfast, not be forced to choose between the two.

The hotel clearly did not plan for the amount of people that were staying. They ran out of the majority of breakfast items, way before the service ended. I also left my almost full water jug in our room refrigerator. I called maybe 5 minutes after we checked out to have some one grab it and call me. Never got a call back and even stopped by and no one could find it. Clearly someone tossed it!

Our room had not been cleaned all the way prior to check in. There were dirty foot prints on bathroom floor and hand towels were used. On second sat of our stay, they were out of everything for breakfast. We also heard a lot of noise above us during late hours of the night which made it hard to sleep.

Room smelled like a a wet dog. Had to cut our stay short because we could not handle the smell.
