This hotel needs a total makeover. The rooms are outdated with wallpaper separating from the walls, dust on top of moldings, around carpet edges. We are well traveled individuals. I requested a room change because the bed did not have a clean comforter. In the new room, just as outdated, the faucet turned on in each direction one moved it. The shower area was stained and after 8 hours of driving, I decided not to shower at this hotel.
The staff was accommodating and friendly. The issues at this hotel go beyond the staff. I read reviews after checking in and for months management responses are they will address the issues, only big money will correct the ongoing issues.
A bucket of soapy water and a hose would go along way in making the front entrance appealing. The walkway is disgusting, which sets the precedence for what is inside.

Everyone from the receptionist to maintenance to housekeeping were wonderful. They were very caring and professional and I would stay there again.
The room was great and the value was spot on. The location was perfect and very clean. The atmosphere was very welcoming.

Warm cookies and decent check-in. However, this hotel needs to do a better job with cleaning rooms. We were placed in a room that was very unclean. Dust on the walls, lamps, lamp shades, floor lamps, and very dirty in the cabinet holding the refrigerator. Additionally, one door was falling off the dresser. There also appeared to be an issue under the sink, for a couple of flies appeared out of nowhere but within that area at a couple of different times.

Great CS no issues at all a couple of my club Brutha's had A/C issue but it was talking cared of at the blink of an eye. We are coming back next yr for sure we had a ball
The cleanliness was not the best, the toilet got clogged and the sink was slow to drain. There were only 2 sets of towels for a double queen room. The front desk was responsive. The chocolate chip cookies were good.
Did not participate in breakfast.
Double Tree in Rocky Mount, fits our need and budget.
