Very nice hotel overlooking scenic Chocolate Lake. Excellent hot breakfast and comfortable rooms.
Pros:

Excellent hot breakfast, good dining room for evening meals. A beautiful lake view from our room. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past few years. This trip we stayed five nights and everything was up to the standard we are used to.

breakfast was outstanding

Cons:

You need a car if you stay at this location. There is very limited bus service and no access to the airport bus. Walking to downtown takes more than an hour. I chose this location because it was less costly but in the end, taking taxi's added up. I wish I had stayed in downtown Halifax.

Pros:

The breakfast was awesome. Great selection, great view over the lake and very friendly staff! Lots of shopping and places to eat a few minutes away.

Cons:

The only thing I didn't like was the smell of dog in our room. We have cats and a dog so we are animal lovers. Perhaps flooring would be a better choice for the rooms allowing pets. We absolutely loved and requested a ground floor room and loved the lake in front of us!

Pros:

Staff were very friendly and helpful
View was great.
Complimentary breakfast was appreciated. They served a full breakfast buffet.
Room was well equipped but small

Cons:

Hotel is a long way from Harbourfront. Used Uber to get to attractions which added significantly to costs

Very happy with our stay.
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent everyday and the staff were great. Cleaning staff and front desk staff were cheerful and helpful. The little bar was a big bonus as well.

Cons:

A little variety in the breakfast fruit might be nice but the quality is excellent as is. That really is the only thing I can think of. We were very pleased with everything.

Pros:

The hotel is convenient to downtown Halifax. It is a lovely location and you feel like you are in the country, yet accessible to everything. The breakfast is good and fits with our price for hotel and a meal. We enjoy being able to sit by the water on a nice day and seeing the lake from our room.

Le fan de la chambre de bain ne fonctionne pas . De plus , chambre très petite et la chambre de bain vraiment très désuet . On a eu des odeur dégoût très nauséabonde . Nous n’avons jamais trouver où cetais et nous sommes prit ici encore pour une nuit . Nous étions dans la chambre 216

ANTS in ROOM, manager would not address the issue and had to check-out early and find another hotel at the last minute, still had to pay full price for room with ants. No apologized for ants received. Do not stay at this hotel.

A great place to stay at any time of the year.
Pros:

Complementary breakfast buffet was great, lots of choice. Diner menue was excellent with seasonal items. No lunch service was the only down tick. My third time here and as always, it was memorable.

Cons:

A lunch option, even if it were a box lunch ordered the night before and picked up at breakfast the next day would give a little more for food service. I would use it for sightseeing picnics. :)
