Masseria Grofoleo

Masseria Grofoleo is the most amazing and relaxing place to stay during a trip to Italy. Very conveniently located close to the city of Locorotondo you can walk to nearby wineries, and if you have a car there are many beautiful towns nearby. The masseria is extremely well appointed and Emmanuel and his team are so welcoming and attentive. We cannot wait to come back here again it was truly the best place we stayed in all of Italy.

We loved our stay here and felt quite sad to leave. The Masseria is beautiful, and in a beautiful setting, well landscaped, with a gorgeous view of Locorotondo. Emanuel and the staff were so helpful, especially at breakfast and in booking dinner reservations for us. It's very central to many other towns in the region, assuming you have a car. The breakfast was abundant and well presented. There was a pool but we didn't use it; however it looked very pretty with many loungers around. Also appreciated the air conditioning which worked well, unlike most places on our trip.

Un lieu intime, où l'on est parfaitement accueilli. Le propriétaire est aux petits soins et tout est délicieux. Du petit déjeuner avec les confitures de sa maman (délicieuses) à la couleur des murs intérieurs du trulli. Et quelle vue. Un petit paradis.

Il posto è di una bellezza unica, spazi ampi, camera grande con un letto molto confortevole ed un bagno molto grande. A fare la differenza è soprattutto la gentilezza dei proprietari e del personale. La colazione di buon livello viene servita in uno spazio rilassante con un personale di sala sempre a disposizione.

Manu and his whole team could not have been more welcoming, friendly and attentive. There literally was nothing that they couldn’t do to make our stay better from collecting us after dinner in town to recommending fabulous places for lunch and dinners. Will definitely go back and spend a longer time.

What a picture perfect setting! Such a lovely property and very close to the town of Locorotondo. Emmanuel and his team could not have been more helpful. One day it was raining when we arrived back to the Masseria and they appeared out of nowhere with umbrellas!! The breakfast was amazing - cooked to order eggs, meats/cheeses, fruit, sweets. Our room had a private patio which was lovely. The location is great for exploring many of the charming towns in the area. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Stunning historic property. Great bedrooms. Very comfortable beds. Exceptional staff. SUPERB attention to every detail. Walking distance to town. Beautiful grounds and pool. We LOVED everything. Possibly the nicest place we have ever stayed at. Truly amazing and the property is breathtaking.

The location is the best to base one's visit to several places in Puglia. The grounds and building are most lovely. The Owner and Manager and the staff were very helpful.

Le petit déjeuner est exceptionnel : produits locaux, confitures et gâteux faits maison, fruits frais, on y retournerait juste pour ça !
Et cerise sur le gâteau l’accueil chaleureux et attentionné d’Emmanuel et de son équipe nous a permis de savourer encore plus ce séjour dans son domaine.
Nous aurions aimé prolonger cette expérience inoubliable!

Masseria Grofoleo is an exceptional place. Surrounded by gorgeous gardens the lodgings are beautiful, spacious, and provisioned with everything needed to make a comfortable stay, from the moment of arrival you will know this inn is unique. The staff are friendly and extremely attentive but not intrusive. The property is elegant but not stuffy. Masseria Grofoleo is truly among the best in which we have stayed.

We have just spent three very happy days at this wonderful hotel. It is set in a stunning location within walking distance of Locorotondo and yet surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the apulian countryside. At this time of year the wild flowers are a sight to behold, the fields brimming with poppies and other gorgeous blooms. We stayed in a beautiful spacious bedroom with a balcony overlooking the pretty hotel gardens with a view of Locorotondo in the distance.

The room was very elegant in a beautiful simple way.

Everything in the hotel has been finished to a high and stylish standard. The Grofoleo's owner, Emanuele, greeted us with a big smile and he and his team could not have done more to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast each morning was a feast of delicious homemade goods taken in the conservatory overlooking the gardens.

Emanuele organised some electric bikes for us one afternoon and suggested we explore the Aquadotto Pugliese route, a nearby cycle/footpath, a fantastic recommendation which we thoroughly enjoyed. All in all this is an amazing destination with genuine heart which we would thoroughly recommend.
