Homewood Suites by Hilton Chattanooga - Hamilton Place

Receptionist was not the greatest when we checked in around 4 p.m. on June 21st. She had no name trash on so I can't provide a name but she had the "I don't want to be here attitude". Bathroom had mold on the ceiling and the sliding glass door was broken/not on the track which we reported immediately so we wouldn't be held accountable for that. Looks like the there was a light above the shower that someone removed and tried to cover up but didn't do so correctly as there are holes in the ceiling that still need to be patched up (room 314).

The facility itself was very dirty. We showed up a little early but waited for the 3:00 check in and was told they weren’t ready. I asked when they would and got no answer. It was only after I picked up the manager card and got on the phone my room was ready. It seemed like an inconvenience. Once we got to the room several things were dirty. Overall horrible experience and nowhere near the value for what we paid. I’ve stayed at Homewood Suites before and this was not up to par.

The room had a strong odor of a cleansing agent because I am sure (but not positive) that a dog (or other animal) had stayed in the room the previous night. The furniture was stained and the rugs, carpets and bathroom floor tiles were sticky. No additional toiletry items were in the bathroom. No laundry bag in the closet. This property was the worst Homeward Suites I have ever stayed in and needs updating.

Cleneness in rooms can be made more better..

Front desk staff said the right words but acted like they didn't want to be there.
Breakfast offerings were OK but not presented well. Hashbrowns were cold, yogurt was floating in ice water. A mini fridge would've been nice for the yogurt.
Hard to regulate room temperature.

The suite was not clean. It smelled musty. The furniture was beat up and couch smelled as well. The bathroom shower drain backed up. We were only passing through for one night. I would not choose them again

The breakfast was very lacking. Not much to choose from.

Room was hot AC wouldn't go below 66 degrees I am a middle aged woman so I get hot at night and need it cold to sleep. There is no staff at night after I think 11pm

I called ahead to arrange a pack and play for my child and it wasn't in the room when we arrived. The front desk handed it to us and told us to bring it up ourselves. When we set it up, the mattress was filthy and visibly stained. No sheets were provided for the pack and play or the sofa bed, and when I called to ask for them, I was told to come down and get them myself. The sofa bed was so worn out my kids couldn't sleep on it and ended up in our bed in the middle of the night, which made booking a suite completely pointless. The toilet was unusually low and uncomfortable for any normal-sized adult. The double bed was smaller than standard and not fit for two adults.

We escalated directly to Hilton, and the response was essentially a shrug. We were told they're not a full-service hotel, don't have enough staff, and that the owners are already aware of the property's condition. If the owners know and haven't fixed it, that says everything.

Nothing to complain about at all.
