El Cid Marina Beach Hotel

We are on our second day of our Mexican vacation and are staying at the El CID Marina Beach hotel. We have been at the beach all morning and are having such a relaxing time. The staff have been amazing, especially our palapa server, Raymundo, who has provided exemplary service. Raymundo is friendly, attentive and efficient. The supervisor, Juan Diego, also gets props for his professionalism, friendliness and service. These kind of employees create a lasting, positive memory, that will last long after our vacation is over. Both should be commended for their being Ambassadors of Goodwill.

The experience was terrible not enough food amenities to manage the amount of people that are there very poor customer service and lack of attention tocustomers very inconsistent. I would not recommend this hotel. Lack of staff, unable to get a drink poolside they would take an order and never return with your drink.

I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. We are traveling with my adult children who's plane was delayed (we have 2 rooms). I wad not allowed to check into my room because the other party was not here (the plane was delayed until tomorrow). We spent three hours arguing to even be allowed to check into our room. This trip and rooms have already been paid for, and they would not let us check into our room.

We loved this hotel! The rooms are beautiful, food is excellent especially in the restaurants. activities are super fun and the hosts are great. We will be back for sure!

Everything about the trip was such a good time! The food was great and the service was also great! Everyone is so kind and happy.

Absolutely amazing! Couldn’t complain and the people and activities are amazing! I’ve came here for multiple years and this is my favorite part of the year!

Food is good. Wait staff at pool are very friendly and eager to please. Our hotel 1 bedroom is the best. Bracelet activity was enjoyable.

El Cid Marina has been a great experience for our entire family, young and old! Great food, service and activities. Beautiful, well kept grounds help set the mood for relaxation and fun!

Spent 5 amazing weeks there! Blue skies every day and Smiles all around. This is our 3rd time there and it was fabulous. The rooms are kept pristine and we had a beautiful view of the Marina. The Manager and the staff are all there to assist you however they can. The Hotel has a Doctor who is very knowledgeable and Even speaks English. The Food at the Calypso Pool is delicious and Servers are awesome. Luis is the Highlight at the Pool. Fast Service and very entertaining. Must also mention Christopher, Eduardo all very attentive.
The breakfast is very plentiful with lots of fruit, eggs made to Order and lots of pastries. For supper you had the Choice of 2 Restaurants on Site as well as the 3 other El Cids that the free Shuttles will drive you to. For your own Protection watch your Step in Mazatlan and for sure get Travel medical insurance.
Would Go back. Thank You all for taking care of us.

Our stay was wonderful. We love all the great staff. They look after all our needs. The entertainment team our a lot of fun. The only problem is the internet keeps bumping out.

We have been staying at Marina for 25 years. The staff are like family to us! The resort is beautiful. Service is excellent!! We enjoy visiting with our friends and telling new visitors about how we love El Cid Marina. The fishing is outstanding and we enjoy all the events provided by the activities team especially, crafts, Spanish lessons, lotteria and black jack!! If you haven’t come to Mazatlan, plan your trip to El Cid Marina…they will welcome you like family!!!

Overall review of the resort:

Food: exceptional food, been to Mexico many times over the past 5 years and the food at the marina is the best food we have had at a resort. Drinks are not watered down and the bartenders are always willing to make us new drinks.

Staff: very friendly and willing to make you feel special on vacation. Alexis greeted us and showed us around, told us what we needed to know about the resort. Luis served us at the pool, always getting drinks and food for us. Manuel served us in the restaurant and always gave 10/10 service. Many staff members helped us throughout our stay and we appreciate all of it!!! Thank you for making our stay wonderful

Activities: played Mexican lotto, bingo and other activities. Staff had it organized and always made it fun. The activity crew gets a 10/10 from us.

Cleanliness: resort was spotless while we were here. No drink cups lying around, room was always clean with fresh towels. Pools were very clean.

They offered a free shuttle to other el cid resorts which we loved because you get a different experience and get to try other restaurants. There’s a free water taxi which is easy to take and go to the beach.

Would definitely come back!! And we are writing this review on Day 4/7 of our vacation.

It is always nice to be back at the El Cid Marina resort in beautiful Mazatlán. We love this resort because of the proximity to the vibrant city. There is so much to do. The resort is lovely with it's garden like setting, view of the marina, beach and the ocean.

The staff at this resort are always cheerful and helpful.

The activity program around the pool is fun and very well managed by the activities manager Dante and his team. There are crafts, pool games and exercises, stretching and more. My favourite activity is the Spanish Lessons taught by Dante. A 30 minute challenge always adapted to whatever level is needed in each class. This is a fun way to meet other guests and to learn a bit of the local language.
We have visited here several times and will certainly return!

One negative comment - El Cid has implanted a new restaurant reservation procedure where guests have to stand in line starting at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings to have any hope of getting reservations at a popular hour (6 to 8 pm). Some folks have found ways to cheat the system and so even at 7:00 am certain restaurants are fully booked. Complaints to management have been made but no improvements have been made so far. For all the money we spend here (we are elite members) we find this process rather insulting.

The staff at El CID is always there to help make your stay enjoyable and stress free. We really enjoy the pool activities. Dante and Isys are the best!

service and perfect location
We had an amazing stay and everything exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the experience was wonderful. The resort is beautiful, the facilities are very well maintained, and everything is extremely clean.
We loved the pool areas and the activities around the pool. The wave pool with volcanic rock and a waterfall is especially beautiful and creates a relaxing and unique atmosphere.
The private beach area is also very clean and well cared for, which made our time at the beach even more enjoyable. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the ocean.
The location is another big advantage. It is very easy to go out and explore nearby areas, including the Golden Zone, and it is also very convenient to take a trip to Isla de la Piedra.
The shuttle service was excellent, always punctual and very well organized, which made getting around very easy and comfortable.
Our room was comfortable and well equipped, and we appreciated how organized and pleasant everything was throughout the property.
What truly made our stay special was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. Their service made us feel very welcome during our entire stay.
We truly enjoyed every moment and would absolutely return. We highly recommend this resort for a relaxing and memorable vacation with family.
