Beautiful facility, wonderful location, poorly trained staff, poorly maintained room and amenities
Pros:

Location was very convenient. Closest hotel to the canyon. Good bed, good sized room

Cons:

When I checked in, the toilet looked like someone had just used it. It turned out that the water in the sink, shower and toilet was BROWN. My wife and I didn't trust that it wasn't contaminated and used bottled water for everything, forgoing a shower, after hiking all day. The front desk tried to explain it by saying the water was brown because the hotel is close to the canyon. Not buying that excuse!

The A/C in the room was inadequate for the 93 degree weather. The room didn't cool down until late night.

The ice machine in the building we were staying in was broken and we were directed to use the machine in another building. I was unable to get access to that building using myr oom key card, having to wait for another guest to enter to gain entry.

I asked to speak with a manager when I checked out and was told I would need to wait 1 hour for a manager to arrive. The front desk clerk was indifferent to my experience and didn't offer to have a manager contact me.

I worked on the hotel industry for 40 years and have seen all levels of customer service, from excellent to poor. This experience was near the bottom.

Hotel animals; closed restaurant
Pros:

Room had flying gnats and three quarter inch cockroaches. A stray dehydrated and hungry dog hangs around.
We were told the restaurant would open one hour late; then it was only to go.
Day two we were told the same - the restaurant may or may not open - check back late in the afternoon.
At $21.95 + tax for powdered egg buffet breakfast, it was overpriced.
Some restaurant chair cushions are ripped from wear.

Cons:

They never returned my 50.00 deposit they charge you when you check in. They ripped me off. Also they had no wifi at the area of the hotel where I stayed at.

AVOID - They scam you!
Pros:

Avoid this place, go to Best Western instead - This pathetic place, if you book including breakfast, the breakfast is NOT included! They will force you to eat at their breakfast buffet and then charge you afterward, 21.95USD per head. And the front desk Tamara does not give one single damn about it, instead, she just prints out a letter saying these are the hotel rules. Thankfully AGODA refunded us the amount because they too admitted that it was in fact a scam!!

An amazingly beautiful hotel!
Pros:

A beautiful hotel both inside and out! The rooms are truly unique in their furnishing and super clean. We loved the relaxed atmosphere. I great deck off of each room for drinking your morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail! The pool and spa were wonderful too!

Spacious rooms and super friendly staff
Pros:

An overnight stay to do a tour of the Canyon de Chelley. We arrived well before check in but were able to get a room, just a shame the swimming pool was out of action! We were also given a late checkout of 2pm so we could clean up after our canyon trip, presumably as the hotel wasn't full.

The rooms and beds are large, comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant, served by a super lady (forgotten her name begins with A I think), food was surprisingly good. Disappointed that breakfast was only a buffet as we'd been given a copy of the a la carte menu, didn't spoil our stay though!

Overall not upkept. Poinsettas in dingroom ( in April), advertised with a pool(main reason I booked there)..empty..lobby and patio not clean

Pros:

Very well kept, clean facilities and rooms. Close to the Canyon de Chelly visitor center and rim drives. Would highly recommend (slept very well!)

Cons:

There is a small restaurant located in hotel but not open 24/7 and you'll need to drive about 10 minutes away from hotel for other food/dining options (mostly mini-marts and fast food). But certainly not a deal breaker if you plan accordingly
