Lovely small hotel with welcoming staff
Pros:

Welcoming and helpful staff, stylish presentation, location convenient to our interests and quiet despite being in a busy area.

Cons:

Restaurant could have been more efficient and the room, though well presented, was small for a travelling couple with luggage

The Hotel Pelham South Kensington-Gabriel Saves the Day!
Pros:

Our stay at The Pelham London (South Kensington) was excellent. The hotel was located directly across the street from an Underground station which made it super convenient. The room was very luxurious and quiet with soft, warm bedding on an ultra comfortable bed. All the room amenities were on point. The atmosphere of the hotel is upscale, comfortable, and very clean. The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly. But the standout star for us was the concierge, Gabriel. He was always there with a welcoming smile and was truly engaging. He was ready to help us with anything we might need. By the end of our six night stay, we felt like Gabriel was a friend! And that turned out to be the case for us. When we left the hotel on our way to Scotland, we inadvertently left our passports in our room safe. Later that afternoon, we discovered our error and contacted The Pelham Hotel. Gabriel immediately sprung into action and was able to ship our passports via UPS Express to our next hotel. The package arrived Monday morning by 10:30am as promised and we were able to fly home the next day as planned. We cannot express our gratitude enough for the wonderful customer service provided by Gabriel in particular along with the rest of The Hotel Pelham staff. Hopefully, we will be back soon!

Lovely short break in London
Pros:

The hotel was lovely quaint clean and comfortable. The breakfast choices were good and of good quality. The staff friendly and attentive. The hotel is well situated with bars and restaurants close by.

Cons:

Well we picked a weekend where the underground was not open at various points due to works being carried out .
With the extreme weather conditions it was frustrating to only get as far as Hyde Park corner. This of course is outside the control of the hotel which I couldn’t fault.

Pros:

Mycket bra läge

Cons:

Att erbjudas ”optional” ersättning som en slags förtäckt lön till hotellets personal. Känns konstigt att turister ska kompensera för låga löner.

Perfection at the Pelham
Pros:

I LOVE staying at the Pelham, my favourite hotel in London. It is a fantastic home away from home, cosy & luxurious in equal measure and sited in an incredible location, perfectly suited to eat/ shop walk etc. just out the front door in the lovely neighbourhood including 2 amazing (Natural History & V & A) museums within a block waking and the South Kensington tube station just across the street 👍🏻 Everything is easy and very convenient. I love the decor of the hotel and the rooms are beautifully and comfortably appointed. This last trip there I had a slight snafu with my original room (my fault) and the lovely lady at reception (afraid I did not get her name) and the AMAZING Thomas were truly wonderful and helped me move and sort it with kindness and ease. I am so grateful to them and am looking VERY FORWARD indeed to my next stay at the Pelham 👍🏻🫶🏻

Cons:

Nothing

Unique hotel
Pros:

If you would like to feel the spirit of Victorian London including the exceptional kindness of the staff this place is exactly for you! Just on the side of the street opposite to South Kensington tube station. In the building there are so many details preserved you can easily immerse yourself in the history. As for London the room and the bathroom alike were XL. The bed was very comfortable (soft mattress but with sufficient back support), really king size. The bathroom was very clean, stylish with modern insight (eg. two taps but one faucet spout). The ventilation in the room was very efficient (room and bathroom windows and the A/C). In the bathroom you find everything you need. Towels and bed linens were very clean and soft. The room was quiet and rested perfectly every day. You can enjoy also the old library and its interior on site. Dining in or out - its up to you. Kensington Gardens are not further than app a quarter on foot. But... if you do not like how those kind of buildings live, with narrow corridors, wooden "speaking" (just a bit) ceilings, fire doors, slightly slamming (very rarely) with a typical sound, single glazed sash windows, old interiors including furniture may be a modern place is better for you. But if you love or want to experience Sherlock Holmes' times vibe it just throw your hands up and go for a ride!
