My stay at The Nest Hotel Palo Alto was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
The noise from the neighboring room was so disruptive that I could not properly rest, which defeats the basic purpose of paying for a hotel room. Even worse, when I needed assistance, I was unable to get the support I expected from the front desk.
After my stay, the General Manager acknowledged the problem, apologized, and confirmed in writing that I would receive a full refund for the room rate. Despite that clear commitment, the refund has still not been satisfactorily resolved.
A guest should not have to spend weeks sending emails, following up, and dealing with Booking.com just to receive a refund that the hotel itself already agreed was appropriate.
This experience was unacceptable. Between the excessive noise, lack of assistance when the problem occurred, and the exhausting refund process afterward, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience. A hotel should take responsibility for its guests’ experience and ensure that commitments made to customers are actually carried out.
Loved the aesthetic and all of the staff were very friendly and professional. Enjoyed the courtyard area and firewall. It’s a really pleasant hotel.
The TV was a problem. 3 times staff had to come and try to fix it. Also, the bedside reading lamp and the safe were not operational. There were several long black hairs on the bathroom floor and the bed pillows.
The breakfast and location.
The hotel is falsely advertising online. The actual hotel looks nothing like the photos that are on the website. It's ran down looking. Tons of damage around the property and in the hotel room. No refrigerators. Extremely disappointed. Would have not stayed there if known the truth. As well as the staff take no response ability for the false advertisement blamed it on booking.com. the hotel was over priced for what you actually had.
It’s very quiet even though it’s close to a main street. The water fountain helps cancel out traffic noise!
Entrance and Driveway was a bit tight for a rec van but it made it in.
Clean rooms and well kept grounds.
Nice located, quiet, really clean room, wonderful shower and comfy bed. The breakfast is good and there is a nice table outside where you can enjoy the california weather.
