The hotel is conveniently located to the University as well as shopping. The location is key. The rooms are tiny, but organized nicely for the space they have. The first valet we had really worked hard to greet us and get our bags up to our room. On the way out, the valet got the car, but couldn't be bothered helping us load. He was more worried about getting back into his office. The front desk staff was fine, but could be more helpful with details about the amenities of the hotel (workout room, breakfast, etc) and friendly.
Great location, easy check-in, friendly staff, comfortable beds
Little pricey for value, rooms don’t have mini fridge, bathrooms are tiny and doors wouldn’t close properly would get stuck.
We love this hotel. It was our second stay. We had a spacious suite. The exercise room is great. The location in Georgetown is perfect. Our only issue was the ac in our room wasn’t working. They provided a space cooler which was very good but it didn’t quite cool the bedroom so we were warm. The other issue was the room smelt of sulfur. No where else in the hotel did we smell that odor. Just our room. We did not experience this when we stayed the first time. Hopefully it was just an exception.
Rooms clean and excellent customer service
Location.
Air conditioning was broken. A facilities man came after midnight and installed a portable unit, but the cooling air did not reach well into the bedroom of our suite.
Also, the exterior showed signs of deferred maintenance (peeling paint) which was surprising.
Great location in Georgetown to walk the streets to shops and restaurants!
Ubicación. Comodidad de la habitación. Buena relación de precio
Hay un ligero mal olor en el lobby, constantes desde mi llegada.
El personal de recepción podría ser más cordial
Great location. Good, responsive service. Quiet.
Occasional wait for warm water in shower.
Great location. Room very spacious, very large bed. Very clean
Nothjng
Clean, spacious and quiet room in heart of Georgetown. Nice view of street and Washington monument in distance. Good resturant attached and pub across the street.
All good
Everything about our stay was exceptional. The room was a great size and outside of smart TVs there was not one complaint to be made. The staff was helpful and friendly and the location was top tier. Walking distance to all that Georgetown had to offer! We will definitely be back again.
My daughter and I had a lovely stay at The Georgetown Inn ! The room was big and bright , and the beds so comfortable.
We did not have a good stay. Part of the bathroom ceiling collapsed while my daughter was taking a shower. This was within a 10 minute period.
Management tried to tell us that someone (at some point in the past) on floor above had left water running. Yes a temporary fix was applied in response to this opening in the ceiling but it began to detach within a day.
Prior to our arrival, the hotel had done a ridiculously bad job of patching up ceiling, which was the part that collapsed.
We were staying in one of “the Georgetown suites.”
Why not repair the bathroom exhaust fans in all of the rooms and suites? There is almost no other way to remove shower steam. No wonder the ceiling collapsed. I was incredibly surprised that the manager didn’t offer us a complimentary night, at a MINIMUM. We were in DC for my uncle’s funeral and did not have time to switch rooms or otherwise debate or negotiate with the hotel. Our focus was on our immediate family.
Looking back, it was outrageous that the hotel did so little to accommodate or compensate us during our stay.
I would not recommend the Georgetown Inn unless location is critical/key.
