Rooms were lovely and very clean. They looked like they had been refurbished recently. Found the corridors to the room and restaurant floor needed a good hoover and clean. Food in the restaurant was excellent with good portions. Service was also great.
Communal areas such as restaurant floor and corridors and stairs to rooms needed a clean i.e. hoover and mop on the hard floors. Glasses for water in the restaurant didn’t look clean.
For the 'pub with rooms' sector, this is exceptional.
Plenty of space in the car park, and only a short walk to the room.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was spacious, and the AC worked very well; proper through-wall AC unit, which was an absolute godsend during the heatwave.
Location was great for the Bocington tank museum and the Mill House Cider Museum.
It was even easy to find, being right next to the railway. And despite being right next to the railway, it's a quiet line with virtually no traffic.
Shower worked great at both pressure and temperature.
Shower head could do with replacing; limescale had obviously taken it's toll.
Staff where friendly food was great and accommodation was great
Breakfast was ok, but it was the staff, room and the pub, that made this a great stay.
Nothing comes to mind
Lovely room and shower with AC in the room. Big TV and free Wi-Fi. Restaurant had fantastic food and service was excellent. The bar had a beer garden and a patio. comfortable indoor and out door seating made it a nice place to eat and drink.
The breakfast was complementary and it showed. There was a range of what we we call continental foods, from cheese and meats to yoghurt and toast with spreads. Tea and coffee was also available as well as juice. Felt the food had been laid out early and the flys did have open access to both the bread and croissant. We asked for fresh croissant which the staff were happy to help with. Unfortunately the quality was I felt poor. They were cheap and mass produced.
For us being opposite the railway station was very convenient.
The room was adequate and comfortable with hot drink facilities, and the bed very comfortable.
The buffet style continental breakfast had a good choice of fruit, pastries, cereals and bread.
The room opening right onto the courtyard with other guests sitting right outside up until 11pm even though the bar closed at 9pm.
UV fly zappers are needed for the many flies in the bar and restaurant areas.
Our third time here and always good. Lovely evening meals too. Breakfast is a bit basic but suits us.
Very clean, all the staff helpful and happy. Food was amazing. Couldn’t fault it.
We liked everything, it’s a very dog friendly place, so probably not suitable if you’re not keen on dogs. All on leads and well behaved tho.
Location great would have preferred a cooked breakfast
Air con in the room.
Lovely room
Stuck to the floor as soon as you walked in. Room had been double booked, happened to a couple of others that came in after me.
