Curtains in room didn't fit the window and we're half hanging off..bathroom floor had paint on it and looked dirty cleaning staff left their mop in the room..noisy because windows are in need of repair.
The pictures online were nothing like what the hotel looked like in person. The bed sheets looked like they bad been used, there were cigarettes staines on it, the room smelled. And there was no other options for breakfast. For the price we prayed this hotel was not it. This was definitely a 2 star hotel.
Breakfast was great there was lots to choose from hot to cold breakfast even had oranges set out
I can’t think of anything that could have been better maybe a cuter front desk clerk??
Bed was good, comfortable.
Old, tired building needing major repairs and updating. Someone wrecked the breakfast room but nothing was said until the morning. Went elsewhere for breakfast.

He didn't care. Made us pay a deposit of a hundred and 50 dollars.

The room we booked on the computer was nothing like the room we got. Queen room the size of a postage stamp. Could not get internet connection, although the young man at the desk did get us on line. Hotel had a problem with the breakfast room, got a paper bag with a muffin & yogurt.
Thavelodge Thunder Bay, hires and fire staff, within their 3 months probationary period. These new employees, who actually know how to clean, are fired..and they keep people who have no idea about standards of cleanliness. very backwards. the cleaners kept on are very dirty.
