Lovely place for Humphrey's Concert Stay
Pros:

This is the best place to stay if you have tickets for music with Humphrey's by the Bay. Humphreys jacks their prices up for rooms when there is a concert, so this was a better buy.

Cons:

It was all good. No complaints. No food after 9pm so no food after the concert next door.

Great stay for my 94 year old mother
Pros:

I wish I had the name of the person who checked me and was working all weekend. He made our stay easy and successful. I had three rooms for my family. My 94 year old mother couldn't get up into the bed (she is very short) so they lowered the bed by removing the spring. The marina view was great. Other than not being wild about the wooden floors everything else was great

Don’t be fooled
Pros:

Don’t let the elegant lobby fool you or the room pic. Staff rude. Early check in will cost you 50 for a 2pm 25 for an hour early at 3pm. Ck in is 4pm. Parking per day is 24 but I do expect that. Our microwave literally on the counter in the bathroom near the sink. Had to move it to make any room for essentials. Coffee maker is in there too with no where to plug in. In fact we had a hard time finding any plug to charge our phones. Pool very small. We had breakfast. The prices were very reasonable but the food was cafeteria like. We didn’t eat another meal there. Bed was comfortable. Room was very small. We were there for a wedding and the rest of the family stayed at the Best Western which they raved about. Especially the food there. We spent most of our time there. We tipped every one accordingly though we felt we as a guest was more of a nuisance than a welcome at this “BayClub” hotel.

Pleasantly surprised
Pros:

Was pleasantly surprised with my stay. I was expecting a rather outdated hotel that is reflected on the outside. Instead it was renovated (albeit 10 years ago) and rooms were very pleasant and very clean. Had a bay view and did not hear any noise. AC worked very well but a bit noisy. Would recommend this hotel if going to a concert next door at Humphreys.

Wonderful family memories, great location
Pros:

The rooms were very spacious and clean, fitting nicely with the San Diego beach theme! Wonderful staff,and a great bar. I enjoyed the in-room Starbucks first thing in the morning although there was also free coffee in the lobby.

Excellent marina views, we'll be back!
Pros:

Great hotel that we will stay at again (we only live an hour north of it)! Pictures online reflect the hotel properly.

Only comment would be that staff should review notes made on the booking reservation websites. They completely missed my telling them this was a special birthday trip within our 4 night stay. The front desk was surprised when I mentioned it on check in and nothing was done later to recognize the event.

One thing to note if staying during the summer. The hotel next door does summer concerts with big name performers. You can hear the show from the restaurant and pool area. Check Humphry's By the Sea for their schedule. Stay here and walk over if you are going to the show.

Highly recommend if you’re going to a concert at Humphreys
Pros:

Check in in front desk. Staff were very fast, helpful, and friendly, our room was beautiful, overlooking the boats in the harbor, and it was short walk to see the concert. We came for.
