Perfect for 2-3 day quick getaway trip.
Enjoy the nice food options and activities on site — it’s a wonderful pool food and beers kind of place which is perfect for my family.
Place excels at getting the basics for a great family trip right: safe environment; nice pool, lagoon, and lazy river; good drinks and food nearby.
Thanks Hyatt!!!
El alojamiento perfecto para unas vacaciones en familia
This place was so dreamy. Everyone was so helpful and kind. It was so relaxing and yet fun. We loved every second of being there!
I had not been back to this resort for a few years and was worried it wouldn’t be as great as in the past. Boy, was I wrong!!! It was spectacular and so much fun!!
The staff bends over backwards to be kind and attentive. The room was super clean, the lazy river was relaxing and so enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the waitstaff was just excellent!! I cannot wait to schedule my next trip!!! Shout out to Gabriel, the experience manager for working with my last minute issues. He was so gracious and kind!!!
Antler Lodge was phenomenal. The variety of pools was so fun. Beautiful natural property. Loved the family and pet friendly atmosphere.
the top tracer golf was disorganized and too expensive for what it is, they clearly just opened.
Was here on business, very nice venue with tons of attractions for families... very much regret not convincing my wife to take our two kids for the few days I was at the Hyatt. The Big Spring in particular looked like a great attraction!
The property was fantastic and very family friendly. There were numerous activities that I could take my daughter to and she had a blast even being two years old.
Ali was welcoming and professional and provided a smooth and friendly valet experience!
Loved the new Lagoon! Even when it gets busy, it still feels like people can spread out. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed here for our 5-year anniversary with our two little girls, and from the moment we drove in, the resort already looked beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. We were greeted with smiles right away, and the staff even helped bring our bags up to our room, which made us feel so welcomed.
We spent most of our 4-day stay enjoying the lazy river, pools, and lagoon. Our girls especially loved the lazy river and pools the most. The lagoon was really nice too, although it wasn’t quite as shaded as the pool and lazy river areas.
One of the sweetest surprises happened on our second day when the staff brought balloons, an anniversary card, and two drink tokens to our room to celebrate our 5-year anniversary. That thoughtful gesture made our trip feel extra special.
We also loved all the activities they had throughout the day for families and kids. The girls had so much fun with soccer, volleyball, pickleball, and t-ball on the lawn after breakfast. Every night they had s’mores, and on Friday night they showed a movie on the lawn with popcorn and blankets. Watching a movie under the stars ended up being the highlight of the trip for our girls.
Springhouse Cafe was another favorite during our stay. Everything we ordered was delicious — honestly, there wasn’t a single bad meal. Our server, Trudi, was absolutely amazing. We requested her the entire trip because she was so kind and wonderful with our girls.
Overall, our stay was relaxing, family-friendly, and so memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back, and next time we hope to bring more family with us too!
We have stayed at Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort every Mother’s Day weekend for the last 5 years, and unfortunately this most recent stay completely changed our opinion of the property.
The biggest issue was the billing transparency — or lack thereof.
We booked two rooms through Priceline after having issues accessing our Hyatt account, and nowhere in the Priceline booking confirmation or receipt was there any clear disclosure that additional mandatory resort fees would be charged separately at the hotel. When we checked out, we were shocked to find additional resort fees added on top of the nearly $1,600 already paid for the rooms.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that the folio provided by Hyatt showed credits that did not even remotely reflect what we had actually paid Priceline. Hyatt later explained that Priceline only paid the hotel a portion of what we paid them, but as the customer, that is not something we should have to untangle after checkout.
On top of that:
Multiple authorization holds remained on different cards
Front desk staff could not clearly explain the billing
Calls for assistance went unanswered
We had issues with the bike rental system resulting in multiple charges
The Saturday night buffet was genuinely one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had at a resort, especially considering the price
What is disappointing is that this could have been resolved with transparency and customer care. Instead, the response was essentially “that’s how third-party bookings work” along with an offer of Hyatt points rather than addressing the actual concern.
For a resort that markets itself as a premium family destination, the experience felt disorganized, misleading, and incredibly frustrating.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after being repeat guests for years, I think future travelers deserve to understand exactly what they may encounter regarding billing and fees. I do appreciate that management responded via email, but ultimately the issue itself was never resolved.
We hadn’t visited Hyatt HC in a few years, and this trip completely exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding as always—Hyatt never disappoints. The new lagoon is absolutely incredible, and the beach is beautiful, though I’d recommend getting there early to grab a great spot. The kayaks were such a fun and unique touch that really made the experience stand out. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon!
My husband booked me a solo trip for Mother's Day. 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel is immaculate, everyone is very professional, and they always reach out to improve your experience. I had dinner at Springbranch Cafe, the steak was cooked perfectly and on time. The next morning, I ordered room service, French toast, and eggs Benedict with coffee, to die for. Kathy, the room service attendant, was so nice and totally made my morning. I booked a massage at the spa, spent the day in the hot tub and sauna, and overall enjoyed the peaceful ambiance. Each bellhop and valet attendant ensured I did not grab my bags and that my car was ready for me whenever I requested it. Love this place, this is my second trip this year, and I will be going at least 2 more times.
Beautiful property with amazing hospitality. The staff is awesome and accommodating. There are so many activities and options to entire the entire family. Have visited several times of the last couple years and Hyatt continues to add amenities to the property. Definitely recommend visiting this location.
The Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas is a masterclass in hospitality. It’s rare to find a property where the physical beauty is perfectly matched by the caliber of the team.
Highlights
The Staff: Genuinely intuitive. From a personalized check-in to housekeeping noticing my smallest preferences, the service felt bespoke rather than scripted.
The Facilities: The numerous pools, spas and lagoon offered world-class views inviting for all ages.
The Room: A sanctuary of silence. Between the flawless soundproofing and the premium linens, it was the best sleep I've had in years.
Bottom Line: Impeccable service and five-star amenities. I’m already planning my return.
Mateo went above and beyond. Friendly and helpful. All of the staff were so nice. I recommend!!
We enjoyed a cabana and lazy river during the day and the spring house cafe that evening for my husbands birthday dinner. We were 30 people and had a wonderful time.
When you travel for a convention, you never know what to expect. We came for 5 days and enjoyed every amenity and every detail. So much to do! We want to bring back our family and we’re from GA. It’s an easy non stop from ATL. This is a destination resort with Sea world and San Antonio close by. There are 3 pools, a huge lagoon where you can even kayak, water slide, soccer goals on the grass, bikes everywhere and paths aplenty. Wish we were golfers. The greens look immaculate. It’s serene and beautiful to idol with shady trees all over. The lazy river is a must and fire pits at night with s’mores. Great family destination and excellent choice for a business trip for our association. Private cabanas, pristine sand and beach area. Spa is beautiful. Wish I had had time to indulge. 5 *!
