The building’s history, decor and location. We were there for a concert down the street. The restaurant was also very good.
One of the elevators was broken so it was slow. Lots of stairs to climb.

The front desk staff was very kind
We went during the peak of summer and I know the hotel is old but it was very very hot and updated AC units are very very much needed. It was uncomfortable to sleep in the warm/hot room. The showers also need to be cleaned or updated shower heads need to be added.

I did not like how there wasn’t parking included and it was a crazy rate for valet. It made it be inconvenient

Loved the boutique feel & location of the hotel. Staff were incredibly friendly & responsive! I reserved the Queen Rm (424) with handicap. I thought we would get a shower, but it was a tub/shower combo. The room was the largest of all the rooms I saw (even those w/king beds). Kimberly (Staff) was able to switch us to a room w/a shower, but it was a tighter fit. I would have stayed w/the larger room, but hubby needed the shower. Great supplies in the fridge and loved the ear plugs for the new room located overlooking 6th St. Bathrooms were beautifully renovated and the water pressure in the shower was delicious! The rooftop was an incredible addition to the property! Paul is a great bar tender! Best to go around 5pm as the sun is going down, otherwise too hot.
There are 2 elevators, but only 1 was working. It is old fashioned with a gate, so you really need to be careful with open/closing of this elevator! They are in the process of updating them. I hope not too much as it preserves the history!

Stanze piccolissime, addebito di parcheggio senza averci detto che era incluso (ci hanno consigliato altri posti dove parcheggiare ad un costo inferiore, per poi addebitarci il parcheggio giornaliero), rumore molte forte durante la notte del condizionatore malfunzionante, nessuna spiegazione che per rifare la camera bisognava informare la reception.
the rooms are so cute and cozy! i loved being able to walk straight from the room to the rooftop bar and watch the sunset. the small room was the perfect size for my boyfriend and i to comfortably share and enjoy!
one of the elevators wasn’t working so that caused somewhat of a delay going from the lobby to our room on the 11th floor. i think it was just under maintenance so it was just more inconvenient than a “dislike”
The pros to this place is that it is a very good deal for being smack in the middle of Gaslamp. The room was also very clean and comfortable. I also liked the old time feel it has. The rooftop bar is very quaint!
The cons were the elevator & accessibility to off. The elevator is a slow one. Very slow. The valet is $65 but it’s a one time pay. Lastly, they do not have ice available for you. There is no ice machine. You have to call to the front desk. Then, they can send up ice or you have to go down to get the bucket to fill it at their restaurant.

Smallest room I've ever seen. Like, itty bitty. If you're traveling alone, and you arent spending alot of time in your room, it will do. For teo avergae sized adults, ots onyl confrtable for ending the day there.
Slowest elevator that was also extremely small, and one was out of order putting a lot of stress of a sold put hotel over labor day weekend. If you have luggage with you, you can probably totally 3-4 people in the elevator at once and expect to wait 4-7 minutes for it to return to the lobby.
Air conditioner in room made very loud rattle noise, staff tried to fix but it would come back in the middle of the night.
Charming place with a unique, boutique feel. Really friendly and accommodating staff. The place was exceptionally clean as was our room. Also, it was easily one of the best beds I've slept in. The food and coffee was fantastic. The rooftop bar was awesome! Went up there ftor drinks before going to a baseball game and the vibe there was great. Views were amazing and the music was perfect! I absolutely recommend this place!
The only, and I mean only thing I could see was a slight negative was that their second elevator wasn't working. I'm handicapped so hiking up too many stairs is a bit of a pain so stuff like this matters. Still, only a tiny nitpick.
