The location
The staff was not all that friendly, I am an amputee who uses crutches, I waited at the front desk for over 15 minutes while they finished whatever it was they were doing while completely ignoring me. I can only stand on 1 leg for so long and it didn’t seem to make a difference to them.
Absolutely disgusting hotel!! Shame on Ramada name for this location! Ceiling was bubbly over the bed, and moldy! Furniture looked like it was grabbed off a sidewalk after all the good stuff at a yardsale was sold lol, blood stains on the sheets and blood spatter on the room divider itself! Brought to attention of management, they said if i entered the room, i was to be charged for another room lol, absolutely rediculous! Not to mention the AC didnt work in July! Oh and no hot water lol, and the hallways had guest towels covering mystery liquids that reeked of urine!
Nothing!
Very outdated motel for the price. Even the thermostat is from the 70's. The hot water heater and air conditioner broke, and there was no hot water for the shower and no air conditioning in the dead of summer. My room was stifling. Do waste your money on that dump! ☹️
Very dated and shabby.
Nothing
I arrived to a musty, dirty carpet smelling lobby. Waited a bit at the check in desk where a sign announced “ No hot water u til further notice. Boiler repairs”. I could hear the desk clerk talking in the back so I rang th provided bell. He came out shouting “ I’m on the phone, can’t you hear me ?”
That was enough for me. I told him that the place was a dump and to cancel my reservation and left.
How they continued to operate a hotel and dining facilities without hot water is beyond me and I’m sure illegal.
No hot water and the bed was terribly uncomfortable. We were told at check-in they were having boiler issues and it would not be resolved while we were there but being last minute and booked through a 3rd party we decided to stay the night anyway. The room itself was large and cozy but the bed was so uncomfortable I was awake most of the night.
LIARS !!! Advertised there being a continental morning breakfast. Nothing! (not even coffee/tea/water available), no pool!! booked room months ago due to their location. We drove 7 hrs to get there and arrivved at 2:10. They wanted to charge me $30 early check in fee because it was before 3:00. Even though my room was ready. Was told that POLICY says he HAD to charge me. We left and returned at 3:00. Ramada is a dilapidated filthy money grab that wouldnt pass a health inspection. Outdated dirty and rundown is an understatement. One hallway had 6 rooms marked office where obviousely family etc live stinking it up like curry. End of same hallway smelled like urine nursing home. Room was very tiny compared to the picture of the room. Decor insanely outdated. Beds were horrible, coil spring noises when you moved in the bed. Headboards from 1972 where you cant sit up in bed because its digging in your back/against your head. Tiny "half" pillows. No additional locks on door other than door knob. Very VERY cheap linens and towels. No smart tvs (couldnt watch my shows) had local cable tv. TV remote had no backing, had to hold batteries in place when using remote. Shower door opens directly and bang toilet. I was CATFISHED with the entire advertisement for these accommodations. Building sections are sublet out to a Tax Office and a Church on sundays (but owners had sign on piano "no playing on sundays").. staff never at front desk. Restaurant in hotel is owned n operated by entire different outfit. Minimal gym equipment was old and worn out. Public restroom had a deadbolt on it and no doorknob, no idea what thats about.
We chose to check out a day early due to the LACK OF PROMISED ACCOMMODATIONS and poor conditions.
The price! But, for an extra $ I could get better. I only booked that place because I had to attend an event and it was the closest hotel I could find. I should read the comments
Avoid this hotel. We spent our first night in a room with a foul, persistent odor, a broken shower head, and an air conditioner that rattled loudly like heavy machinery all night. The conditions were so unbearable that my children couldn't stand the thought of spending another night there.
The next morning, I went to the front desk to cancel our second night and demand a refund, but the desk was completely abandoned. I waited for 30 minutes and nobody ever showed up. Because management was totally MIA, my wife and I ended up staying the second night, but we had to ask a friend to take our children in just to get them away from the room and its odor. Completely unprofessional and poorly run.
I mean, even if the price, how can you ask someone for o pay for that?????
Don't have
Tired place
Great location, clean rooms, friendly staff. My daughter and I were displaced for a few days and they were wonderful. Would definitely stay here again!
My experience here when I stay is always fine. The room is clean stocked and comfortable to sleep in. The Staff is very nice and very accommodating. If any issue occurs they are quick to handle it. Location is close by to resturants and grocery store. The atmosphere is what you make of it. But I have never encountered anything that i can say negative. Sai is one of the best front desk staff. The vaule of price for your room is worth it. They also have a gym located inside hotel which is in very good condition. Also laundry on site which is always a plus.
Great value. Three beds two bathrooms I was able to roll a cot in there with generous space, close to Newport 40 min and 10 minutes from Providence downtown proper. Bedding was comfortable, AC was strong. Small canteen at the lobby. Overall very well maintained and clean. Sai was helpful
Amazing customer service with Sai! Extremely helpful and kind. Room was perfect for me!
Was meeting a friend i haven't seen in a while. The parking lot has 2 levels. The top level parking was for the restaurant (that has been closed) and the lower level parking for guests. You walked up 2 flights of stairs with your bag. While going up the stairs, you see blue tiles that shows they had a pool at one time.
Heading into the hotel, you go back to the 80s with the lobby decore. No sign to tell you where to check in, then I saw a guy on his phone laughing at a video. Im standing in front of him, staring at him, he's still laughing at thr video. About 2 minutes later I get "you staying here?" I fill out my paperwork and he goes back to the phone. I finish and hes scrolling around on his phone. Waiting.......waiting......finally gives me the key to 801. Goes back on his phone, doesn't tell me how to get to my room
Go up the stairs and see this tiny hallway that has signs where to go. While walking to my room, I could hear screaming and it smelled like someone threw up.
I put the key in and enter. All I could smell was bleach and it hurt my eyes. The furniture was old, dated, and nasty. Some of it looked waterlogged. The previous person must have been paranoid cause a chair was pushed against a door, a nightstand pushed against the other door, and the other nightstand was facing the bed. I didnt trust putting my clothes in the nasty dirty drawers.
The bathroom had a decent sized sink and 2 towels. I took a shower and the lever on the shower was broken so boiling hot water then ice cold. There was hardly any water pressure. All I kept hearing was a baby crying and a guy telling someone to shut the kid up. I didn't sleep under the blankets, afraid of what I might find. I swear I heard someone trying to get into my room at 3 am.
I got up early and got ready to leave cause I wasn't spending another minute there. Went downstairs to the lobby and there was a sign that said BACK IN 10 LEAVE THE KEY. I looked around and saw a basket of used keys. I didnt know if they were going in there. A guy opened the office door "you leaving?" I said yes "put your key in the basket. Better not have left the keys in the room!" I pulled it from my pocket. "Good, I will finish your leaving when im done" and slammed the door to the office.
Find somewhere that is clean and friendly cause this place is not it!!!
We were not allowed to check in early, even though I had called the day before. I was told I would have had to have paid a $30.00 fee.
This hotel is in disrepair, smells bad and is insecure as it has a door to the parking lot that does not close or lock. Go somewhere else.
