Oxford Suites Portland - Jantzen Beach

Clean and great location

We went for a Volleyball tournament and booked through a group rate. The plus was we were close to the Expo center. The downside was we spent so much for our room. Got placed in their old room (half is renovated). Room was old and dirty. I found a sock under my bed and hair in my shower. They ran out of everything for breakfast, it was a joke. They are very under staffed. It’s in a okay area. But don’t pay too much money for this place.

The location

I recently visited Portland to watch my son’s college baseball game and needed a great pet-friendly hotel—because my granddog Stella was definitely coming along! We chose the Oxford Suites Portland - Jantzen Beach, and it exceeded expectations.

From the moment we arrived, Stella was warmly welcomed with her own bandana, treats, and toys—such a thoughtful touch that immediately set the tone for our stay.

The hotel itself is very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. One feature I especially appreciated was the fenced grassy area in the parking lot, which made quick dog breaks easy and convenient. I also enjoyed the evening reception—such a nice bonus after a long day.

In the morning, Stella and I headed out early to explore the nearby Columbia River waterfront trail Portland. The walk was peaceful, clean, and felt very safe, with beautiful views of Mount Hood in the distance—an unexpected highlight of the trip.

This property delivers incredible value for everything it offers. I would absolutely stay here again—and Stella gives it her full approval too!

I made an order for dinner and it took very long,nobody called to say its ready, I had to go down for it at 10:00 pm,staff said she called to let us know dinner was ready but no call we heard calling

Everything was clean. Very disappointed in some of the amenities. Breakfast was the same every day. Free drinks aren’t any good when the bar is closed 2 of the nights I was there. A third night they had one person to make drinks and take food orders. The line was backed up into the lobby. Couldn’t get food or drink and no other employee would take an order. Security person was kind. Maintenance was rude when they had to change a battery in a beeping smoke detector.

Staff was very accommodating. Room was nice and clean. I couldn't ask for more. I highy recommend.

Breakfast buffet is delicious! A lot of hot & cold options. Staff is friendly. The 2-queen bed suite was exceptionally clean and spacious. The only complaint I have is that the heater/AC unit was loud - there was a loud vibration coming from the unit. Loud enough to wake you up and keep you awake :-( We were only there for one night, so I didn't bother changing rooms. Overall, a great place to stay and value is good. Will stay here again. Thank you!

So elevator was broken. Did seem like an urgent issue. Breakfast on weekends not till 7am. That includes coffee! Not great!

Great location for us. Easy access. Oxford Suites has a welcoming environment. We had a very comfortable Econo King room that was very clean! That is super important to us. It was a great value for just over $100 and we had a free drink and appetizer to boot! The morning breakfast was one of the best that we've had. Very friendly staff and everyone wet out of their way to make sure everything was good. Top knotch!
