Sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit schönen Balkon und schönen Blick auf die Anlage und aufs Meer. Alles sehr sauber. Das Zimmer großzügig geschnitten, die Betten sehr bequem. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Der Strand direkt anbei. Schönes, kleines Pool. Kleines Restaurant dabei mit der besten Pizza ever.

Un très bel hôtel, calme et parfaitement entretenu. Les chambres et les salles de bains sont propres, agréables et en très bon état. C’est l’endroit idéal pour se reposer et se détendre après un safari.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated.. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty with plenty of options to choose from. The location was quiet and peaceful, which was exactly what we were looking for.

Wer Ruhe sucht, wir hier den richtigen Platz dafür finden! Wir hatten drei tolle Tage mit super freundlichen Damen hinter der Bar und Reinigungspersonal. Auch die Verantwortlichen der Unterkunft standen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.
Das Frühstück wurde immer frisch zubereitet. Aus einer übersichtlichen Karte, konnte eine kleine Variation ausgewählt werden.
Beim Abendessen haben wir viele kleinere Sachen zum Probieren bestellt, alle waren super lecker! Vor allen Dingen das Avocado-Thunfischtartar!

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und gepflegt. Alles war sauber und ordentlich. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt. Vielen Dank!

Wir haben mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern zwei wunderschöne Wochen in diesem kleinen Hotel verbracht und können es sehr empfehlen.

Die Lage ist ein absoluter Traum: ein ruhiger, schöner Strandabschnitt, an dem man bei Ebbe eine Sandbank erreichen kann. Für unsere Kinder war das ein echtes Highlight – im kleinen Riff konnten wir gemeinsam Fische und Seesterne beobachten. Solche Naturerlebnisse direkt vor der Haustür sind für eine Familie mit kleinen Kindern unbezahlbar. Im Meer und Pool wurde ausgiebig gebadet und gespielt.

Untergebracht waren wir in einer Villa mit zwei Schlafzimmern, die ideal für uns als vierköpfige Familie war. Das Design der Villa war wunderschön, geschmackvoll und stimmig gestaltet, und die kleine Küche hat uns viel Flexibilität bei den Mahlzeiten für die Kinder gegeben.

Das Personal ist super lieb. Auch die Massagen waren top!

A lovely place to stay in Zanzibar. The hotel is calm, clean and very beautiful. One of the biggest advantages is the wonderful view of the ocean. It is a great place to rest and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
The room was nice and comfortable, and the team was always kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay .

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet hôtel. L’endroit est magnifique, très calme et parfait pour se reposer. La chambre était confortable et le personnel vraiment accueillant. Nous gardons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt! Ein sehr schönes Hotel, freundliches Personal und eine wunderbare Atmosphäre. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt. Leider war mein Aufenthalt viel zu kurz. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Property with good potential but failed experience for our visit

The rooms are clean and comfortable, cosy and with a beautiful sea view! The sea is right in front of the hotel. During low tide you can take a strawl to the reef. We were alone at the beach. The service was lovely and the food tasty and well prepared. Power shortages are common and expected here in the south of Zanzibar. It was a nice and relaxing stay - we even could keep the room for the late check-out without any charge.

From the boho beachy vibe cast away peacefulness to the wonderful staff, Clove Island is everything we (mother and daughter) had been hoping for from our trip to Zanzibar. The food at the hotel was excellent. Very affordable and lots of choice with locally and ethically sourced produce. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of fresh fruit, a selection of bread, eggs and yogurt etc. All of the staff were very friendly and attentive. The facilities and grounds were well kept and always clean. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. We booked our excursions through the hotel and everything was taken care of and very affordable. During our trips we met some amazing people and learned a lot about life in Zanzibar. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing escape. As two female travellers, we felt safe and taken care of on the hotel grounds and during our trips with the guides and taxi drivers. All of the locals we encountered in Makunduchi seemed very friendly and welcoming too.
