Location great.
Expensive
Good location in Yorktown, easily caught the train from the airport and walked.
Staff were friendly.
Some good local food discounts when staying there.
Not a fan of shower/baths, it didn't drain well after the shower either.
Upgraded room
Sleeping above a nightclub
Good location, able to walk from the SkyTrain to the hotel, also we chose to walk to the cruise terminal the next day which is doable, less than a mile. There are tons of restaurants immediately nearby. We loved the Mexican spot directly across the street, great food. We appreciated that the front desk would hold our luggage until check-in and offered us bottles of water.
When we checked in, it was a Saturday and we were told that the hotel shares a wall with a night club and to expect very loud music until at least 3:00 am. If we’d known this we would not have booked this hotel. Loud is an understatement, and earplugs do not block out booming vibrations that rattles the room. I don’t know about other nights of the week, but don’t expect good sleep on a Saturday. Also be prepared to see many homeless people right outside the hotel and in the nearby area, you will see hard drug usage on the sidewalks and need to step out of the way of the smoke plume from someone’s crack pipe. That being said, we never felt unsafe and walked all over the area.
Near to everything, staff are very accommodating
Staff
Location was seedy. Many homeless and drugged people in street. Carpet felt disgusting on feet. VERY NOISY.
There was a disco next door with loud thumping music until 3_30am both nights we stayed there so we had lousy sleep. Staff did warn us on our arrival and offered earplugs but they would not help the thumping nature of the disturbance. Very disappointing.
Rats in the adjoining restaurant. Loud music kept us awake until 3AM. They mentioned the music at check in and asked us to call if it was too loud and they would bring us ear plugs. Elevators are tiny. Very difficult to get a luggage cart into. It appears to be 2 buildings joined together. We were in the second building. Floors creaked windows were old and ac/heat was loud. Desk said “they’re old so they sound like that”. No attempt to apologize for it. There’s reasons that their prices are so low. This is definitely not up to the standards of Quality Inns we have stayed at in the USA. Extremely disappointing
Staff front desk upgraded my room from double room to King.
Wood floors doesn't feel clean and too many homelessness on the street
Location is good. Staff is good.
You can get lot of food around the hotel not in the hotel. They have a tie up for a discounted breakfast but if you need vegetarian breakfast you are out of luck. No arrangements for anything other than a coffee machine in the room or lobby and what the machine offers. They haven't even heard of herbal teas. Rooms are small and there is no view to speak of.
Would not recommend this hotel. Loud music from a nearby club kept us up at night, and the surrounding area didn't feel safe to walk around in. The room wasn't properly cleaned when we arrived, and overall it was a very uncomfortable stay. There are better options in the area for the price.
Close to amenities
Toilet in the foyer area( smelly), not enough chair in the waiting area, nobody stand and open at main entrance door. In our second stay we are disappointed to the room that is given to us, because they put us in the two fire exit doors. It’s too far for us to carry heavy luggage’s. No staff help us.
The location was good
Dirty (sticky floors), night club outside our window.
