Great location.
No glasses for drinks other than coffee.
We were in town for a concert at Park West and this hotel is the perfect location. Great experience at the hotel. Our room was very clean and the staff was friendly. We used spot hero to park across the street and pricing was very reasonable for Chicago. They have a great rooftop bar and restaurant with nice views. The walking park and free Zoo across the street was perfect for a nice walk in the morning as well.
great
confusion while booking
The location is great. The hotel room was disgusting. The carpet was filthy. The air conditioner didn’t work, and both the sink bathtub drains did not function properly.
Wonderful location. three food venues on site, including a rooftop bar looking out over lincoln park. Excellent staff. Easy access to downtown via bus. Older building so smaller elevators but remodeled nicely.
I chose this hotel because of the proximity to Park West. Received an upgrade to a larger room without asking—thank you, Ron! Really enjoyed the rooftop bar. Friendly, timely service all around. Easy walk to the venue and to Lincoln Park Zoo the next day.
upgrade to two bathroom room. proximity to park and complimentary drinks every day.
upon arrival at 9:45pm, front desk immediately got on their phone and without looking up told me to hold on a minute while he scrolled. clogged and leaking tub and toilet. Staff opening my room door without knocking first, repetitiously. In room phone not working and had to use my phone to call front desk and have no one pick up. webs on windows.
Location is top notch, across the street from Lincoln Park, walkable to the zoo and directly across from the Saturday Farmer's Market.
Adjacent coffee shop and rooftop bar were delicious with an exceptionally helpful staff.
However the workings of the hotel definitely would benefit from some improvements. For example one elevator was broken on and off during my stay and bathroom plumbing was dodgy at best with an extremely slow draining bathtub and toilet.
That said, Ron at the front desk was responsive as he could be to attend to the needs when they were pointed out.
Terrible hotel - rooms are dingy. Even the renovated part is not nice. Staff not proactive or courteous. Tub clogged, no hot water, no proactive communication.
Hotel Lincoln Chicago. The staff were fine, but the hotel itself is looking really tired and neglected. The carpets in the hallways were dirty and frayed, and the elevators definitely need some attention—they felt old and worn out. It’s hard to feel comfortable when the basic common areas look like they haven't been refreshed or deeply cleaned in years. It has good potential, but management needs to invest in some serious upkeep.
Pros of hotel - location is great, roof top bar, bar downstairs and valet all run well.
Cons of hotel - totally run down and desperately needs repairs and updates. Tub was peeling, carpet worn and torn, bedding and towels were discolored. Neither tv nor phone worked. Toiletries were empty. Nothing like pictures online. Pull out couch smelled like urine. It was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at - and we spent $700 per night for this “suite”.
I generally do not write reviews but experience as the worst.
They charge you a $20/night amenity fee and the only amenity received was free Wi-fi?!? Rooms are tiny. Lobby restaurant is separately managed from the hotel. Restaurants charcuterie board is a joke.
We checked in late around 10pm
Went up to our room and made an immediate decision to leave based on what we saw.
This place needs a complete renovation.
The only good thing is the location.
We moved to the Hilton near Grant Park.
Location. Access to CTA. Bed was comfortable.
Room was an accessible room and as such, the shower left a lot to be desired. Had to hold the shower head in hand to use, water went all over the place due to no step and short shower curtain. Condition of bathroom was not great. Refills of coffee/tea don’t happen unless you ask for it. Toilet paper refills had to be requested. View from room was non-existent.
Amazing location, very central to everywhere we went
I thought I would enjoy this hotel because of its nice location and what appeared to be a quiet neighborhood. While the neighborhood was quiet the bar on the hotel roof was blasting music until 11:00 pm. I called Guest Services but they did nothing. I can’t tell you how disappointing this was.
The location
Breakfast options in hotel minimal. Room okay, bed too firm and made me sore. Bathroom design terrible. I had to reach in shower to turn on the water so you get wet with cold water while you adjust your temperature. No shelf in the shower so the shampoo etc was on the very small counter by the sink. No extra shelving in the bathroom. The shower leaked all over the floor due to poor design and placement of shower heads. When housekeeping cleaned my room they did not replace my bath mat or towels and did bit refill my coffee pods.
Awesome location, fantastic staff, and great views of the park and lake. The views from the rooftop bar were great and the restaurant Americano was fantastic. The rooms could use updating. The bed was extremely comfortable.
Front desk person who was working at noon Sat May 2nd was very nice, funny, and friendly :)
It was close to a venue I was there for.
