Bottled water couldve been a regular staple in the room as an option for guests who dont want to get water from the sink. A smart tv would be nice as well - that would be bee a nice option for guests like me who dont wach regular tv.
Drinking glasses - the used ones - were not cleaned - tthat should be part of housekeeping.

Elevators are extremely slow.
The bathroom was filthy, the toilet was gross, there were stains on the wall, and grime outlining the walls and shower. The floors were dirty throughout, the coffee maker was dusty, the outlet by the bed was broken and loose. The silverware was dirty and the silverware tray was dusty and had crumbs in it. It was as though no one had touched the room for a very long time and zero attention was paid to detail. The shampoo bottles were also falling apart. The logo was worn away on one of the bottles and someone “fixed” it with a sharpie- it was so tacky and weird. We will never go back there and do not recommend if you have little ones. You’re paying the same price for something that would be a lot better.

Mu husband was working at Portland Center Stage so I met him for a long weekend. The location is fantastic. Near so many great restaurants, coffee shops, stores , a few blocks from the theatre and of course Powell's Books is right down the street (for the book lovers!) Great staff and a very comfortable stay all around.
Wonderful historic hotel! We had a beautiful corner room with kitchenette and really comfortable king size bed. We walked to POWELL’S bookstore and Petunia’s Bakery for gluten free doughnuts 🍩 and baby cakes. 🧁 Such a nice couples getaway!
Great hotel! Clean and classy. The staff is VERY nice and helpful! Also, in a good location to coffee shops and restaurants and Powell’s Book store.
We had such an amazing time! Walking distance to so many restaurants and a wonderful Saturday evening listening to music on the rooftop!
Staff were amazing! Room was very nice, and the location was perfect. The atmosphere was perfect, rooms were clean, and they had everything we needed, as far as shampoo, body soap and lotion. Another nice thing was the kitchenette, it was stocked with forks, spoons, bowls, and plates. There was a nice size refrigerator and microwave too.. We will most definitely stay here again.
My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Mark Spencer. The rooms were very comfortable. The lobby beautiful with many places to sit and unwind. The staff was amazing.
Everyone was helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Perfect location near venues, restaurants, and transportation. Highly recommend staying here.
